Lesson # 683 - Disbelievers said: This is naught else than evident magic

Lesson # 683 From Holy Qur’aan

Disbelievers said: This is naught else than evident magic

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse – 7 of 165, Section – 1 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Had We sent down unto Thee (Muhammad) (actual) writing upon parchment, so that they could feel it with their hands, those who disbelieve would have said: This is naught else than evident magic.
Wa law  nazzalnaa  ‘alayka  Kitaaban-  fii  qir-taasin  fala-masuuhu  bi-‘aydiihim  laqaa-lal-laziina  kafaruuu  ‘in  haazaaa  ‘illaa  sihrum-mubiin.

Lesson

The Sayings of the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) were totally disagreeable to the people of Makkah. It was unacceptable for them that the people listen to and follow Him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). They used to give Him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) orders of various sorts to frustrate in one way or the other to make Him bound again of old customs in practice like themselves.

It was not sanctioned by Allaah Almighty that the people should be admitted in the Religion Islam by showing them miracles and supernatural powers, and terrifying them or fulfill their commands, because Islam is a natural religion and own wisdom of the human being is sufficient to inquire into its qualities.

Once, they said: Bring down a written upon parchment Book duly caused to be lifted by Angels of the heaven (peace be upon Them) and put it before us, then we shall believe that You are really a Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). They have been replied in this verse.

It is commanded: Suppose, if We send down actual Book, written upon parchment duly caused to be lifted by the Angels (peace be upon Them) and they observe it coming down with their open eyes, even they satisfy themselves by feeling it with their hands that really it is a Book, which is not a game of only confinement of eyes, even then, they will not believe, because their such commands are not for removing their doubts. Moreover, their aim is to make the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) frustrated, so that He may be quiet spontaneously.

Then Allaah Almighty says: If You (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) did as they wished, even then they have a lot of impostures not to believe. At least, their pretense that, this Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a magician, is ready every time for their immediate saying.

It is evident that the Religion Islam was not for the time being, that the people were admitted contrary to the custom by showing them miracles, but It guides clearly the human being for the entire deeds, which are necessary to be done during the life time in the world (forever), in the light of Holy Qur’aan, because Islam has A Complete Code in every field of Life. Now that person will repent, who will do contrary to It.

Lesson # 682 - Allaah made the rivers flow beneath their palaces

Lesson # 682 From Holy Qur’aan

Allaah made the rivers flow beneath their palaces

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse – 6b of 165, Section – 1 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And made the rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins, and created after them another generation.
Wa  ja-‘alNal-‘anhaara  tajrii  min  tahti-him  fa-‘ahlak-Naahum-  bi-zunuubihim  wa  ‘an-sha’-Naa  mim-ba’-dihim  qarnan  ‘aakhariin.

Lesson

Qarn – (a period of nearly 100 to 120 years, a century, an age or hour etc.), its plural is qaruun. In this lesson and the lesson before this, it aims the people, who were living before this period, so it has been translated as ‘generation’.

It has been advised in the previous lesson: You should think on the condition of those generations, which were living before you, who acquired good influence during their own times. They possessed everything like power, property and wealth etc. whereas you do not have the power and vigor as much as We bestowed on them. Their income was in abundance. It used to rain timely, plentifully and constantly. Resultantly, the gardens and husbandries were green.

It has been described in this verse that the rivers used to flow beneath the trees on the earth near their palaces. The grain and the fruit used to grow abundantly. All the useful things were their obedient. In the presence of so much great blessings, the goods and the property, they were required to remain every time engaged in thanking the real Benefactor i.e. Allaah Almighty, and be saved from His disobedience. They were also required to follow His Messengers (peace be upon Them) and dwell like the pious people.

They began to fulfill their bestial desires being proud of their power, property and wealth. They cast the command of Allaah Almighty behind, did not regard the admonition and preaching of His Beloved Messengers (peace be upon Them) and were entangled in the wicked and evil deeds. At last, it was the result that Allaah Almighty destroyed them due to punishment of their bad deeds and even that He deleted their names from the world. Then He created other generations at their places, which began to dwell there.

If we can get any gain from the history and circumstances of the ancient people/generations, that is, we should do good works by following their good works, and whatsoever they committed wrong and suffered punishments as retaliation of their bad deeds, keeping it in view, we should escape from those bad acts.

Now a day, the people, who are influenced by outward show, say: The accidents in the life of the world are not unusual. What is their relation with the bad acts of the human being? But it has been mentioned clearly, over and over in the Holy Qur’aan and the Sayings (‘Ahaadith) of the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) that calamities and disasters come in the world due to wicked acts and sins of the humankind, and the wrath will be suffered due to them after death.

We should act upon the commands of Holy Qur’aan and the Sayings of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), and be saved from the sins and evil deeds.

Lesson # 681 - Many established generations were destroyed in the earth

Lesson # 681 From Holy Qur’aan

Many established generations were destroyed in the earth

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse – 6a of 165, Section – 1 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

See they not how many a generation  We  destroyed before them, whom  We  had established in the earth as  We  have not established you, and  We  shed on them abundant showers from the sky,
‘Alam  yaraw  kam  ‘ahlaknaa  min  qablihim-min  qarnim-makkanaa-hum  fil-‘arzi  maa  lam  numakkil-lakum  wa  ‘arsal  nas-samaaa-‘a  ‘alayhim-mid-raaraa.

Lesson

We learnt in the verse before this: Holy Qur’aan is a Revelation of the Revelations of Allaah Almighty. Main difference between other Revelations and the Holy Qur’aan is that, other all Revelations tell nothing in words about themselves. It depends upon the person, who recites Them that, what he understands. But Holy Qur’aan is such a Holy Word of Allaah Almighty, which explains Itself clearly everything about Itself. Moreover, It is the tongue of the world’s entire tongue-less Tokens of Allaah Almighty. It narrates about them and causes to draw attention not only towards them, which are present, but also towards those Revelations, which have elapsed previously and the people have forgotten them.

The aim of discussion about it is that the people of the present era should know completely Allaah Almighty and His Divine Power. It has been commanded in this verse that the people should think about the time, which was over before them. Many other nations used to live in this world before us. Allaah Almighty bestowed upon them too much powers and strength, which are not found in the existing people. He caused to rain for them timely and constantly, and made them owners of the land’s production along with other Divine Favors.

Truly, the Holy Qur’an is very strong source to know Allaah Almighty, as it is compulsory to know Him. No doubt, any of the wise man can get knowledge of Allaah Almighty through meditation in everything of the world but it cannot be expected that everyone will meditate too much. Only the Holy Qur’an is such a Revelation, which does not remit any excuse for the human being to remain ignorant from Allaah Almighty. First of all, Its own existence of a peculiar form in the world (being in its original form with effect from its Revelation) is a Token like other tokens. Secondly, It explains everything regarding Itself in Its own Words. Then, the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is existing, Who conveyed and caused to understand It. Even now, if anybody does not know Allaah Almighty and His Divine Power, then more sorrow and wonder will be considered as very less upon his condition.

Lesson # 680 - Manifestation of the Truth and Reality

Lesson # 680 From Holy Qur’aan

Manifestation of the Truth and Reality

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse – 5 of 165, Section – 1 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And they denied the Truth when it come unto them. But there will come unto them the tidings of that which they used to deride.
Faqad kazza-buu  bil-Haqqi  lammaa  jaaa-‘ahum.  Fa-sawfa  ya’-tiihim  ‘ambaaa-‘u  maa  kaanuu  bihii  yas-tahzi-‘uun.

Lesson

It was described in the previous verses that these indolent persons turn away from the Revelation which comes before them and do not have any regard for it, though, if they meditate in it and try to understand, then it can be understood easily by them that the Creator of this entire world and the other world beyond from it, is only One, Allaah Almighty. He is the Owner of the entire creatures and everywhere His name is Allaah (Almighty), which means “The True Worshipped”.

It is commanded in this verse that in reality, the wise person shall believe in Allaah Almighty certainly by thinking about the incidents, which happen in the heavens and in the earth, but it is possible that either he may not find the time to look at them closely due to carelessness or the time is available but he remains busy in playing and does not intend to know the reality. Even then, such a strong token has come unto them, which can neither be denied, nor there is any accommodation of doubt to reject it, because along with that token, a Warner (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has also come. And it is His duty to cause to engage the attention of the people to this side, and teach them that particular Token. That Token is Holy Qur’aan and bearer of that Token is Last Messenger of Allaah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). Every verse of the Holy Qur’an witnesses that Allaah Almighty is A True God Almighty, and manifests the Truth and the Reality. Then, the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is present to teach about it. After all, there is no excuse to turn away from the biggest Sign i.e. Holy Qur’an, which is existing in its original form. If anyone turns away then, there cannot be any other reason of turning away from it, but the perverseness.

After that, those people have been threatened from the severe punishments, who do not believe in it. It is commanded that those people denied a True Scripture due to stubbornness. But they should bear in mind that the Doomsday is not too much away from them, when they would have to face a very distressed punishment for their evil deeds and disbelief. Surely, every Command of this Scripture shall be accomplished, and they shall weep on their denial from the Truth and enjoy the taste of their arrogance.

The tidings of two kinds of punishment have been explained in the Holy Qur’an for its disbelievers; the worldly punishment as well as the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. It has been proclaimed so clearly for the certainty of both kinds of punishments that there was no difficulty for the wise people in understanding it. But the infidels did not believe. Later on, they suffered in the world for which they were warned. So everyone should be certain that the punishment of the Day of Resurrection is beyond the question too.

Lesson # 679 - Wa HuWAllaahu fis-samaa-waati wa fil-‘arz

Lesson # 679 From Holy Qur’aan

Wa  HuWAllaahu  fis-samaa-waati  wa  fil-‘arz

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verses – 3 & 4 of 165, Section – 1 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

3.  He is Allaah in the heavens and in the earth. He knoweth both your secret and your utterance, and He knoweth what ye earn.

4.  Never comes there unto them a Revelation of the Revelations of Allaah but they turn away from it.
3.  Wa  HuWAllaahu  fis-samaa-waati  wa  fil-‘arz.  Ya’-lamu  sirrakum  wa  jahrakum  wa  Ya’-lamu  maa  taksibuun.

4.  Wa  maa  ta’-tiihim-min  ‘Aayatim-min  ‘Aayaati  Rabbihim  ‘illaa  kaanuu  ‘anhaa  mu’-riziin.

Lesson

It was explained in the previous verses that Praise be to Allaah Almighty (the entire excellence are only of God Almighty). If any excellence, beauty or quality is seen anywhere and in anything, that is not personal of that individual or thing. But that is a refulgence of any Virtue of Allaah Almighty. The earth, the entire skies and even that everything, which exists into them, those all have been created also by Allaah Almighty. Some of them are appointed as good for you and some of them are bad for you. Allaah Almighty is the Creator of the humankind too and He has fixed a time of their life. Then the human being expires.

The mankind should understand from it that the length of time for existence of the entire world has been determined also. Then, it will be ruined. After that, the aim is to cause to understand the mankind that the human beings will be brought to life and an account of their deeds, which were done by them in the world,   will be taken from him. So it has been described after telling the Divine Power of Allaah Almighty and His overcoming upon the entire that humankind cannot reject the decision of Allaah Almighty.

It is commanded that Allaah Almighty is Existing everywhere in the heavens and in the earth, and there Is only His Sovereignty everywhere also. He knows your secret and utterance, whether those are very little, and He knows also that, what you do. He has spread His tokens in the entire world and has revealed his Holy Word, which is the biggest token. The person, who will reason and think upon these verses, certainly will understand His Divine Power and Strength. Then what is wrong with those people, who turn away from those tokens, which either they observe in the form of tokens of the Divinity of Allaah Almighty or recite in the verses of Holly Qur’aan, and do not understand a little its meanings? If the human beings think, then they may know that the only purpose of their creation is that they should know Allaah Almighty and worship only Him.

Lesson # 678 - Do not ascribe any partner to Allaah Almighty

Lesson # 678 From Holy Qur’aan

Do not ascribe any partner to Allaah Almighty

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse – 2 of 165, Section – 1 of 20 (Part - 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

He it is Who hath created you from clay, and hath decreed a term for you. And a term is fixed with Him. Yet still ye doubt!
Huwallazii  khalaqa-kum-min-tiinin-  summa  qazaaa  ‘aja-laa.  Wa  ‘Ajalum-Musamman  ‘indaHuu  summa  ‘antum  tamtaruun.

Lesson

Tamtaruun – (you doubt), this word is from ‘amtaraa’, which has been derived from mir-yatun (doubt). ‘Amtaraa’ means ‘to doubt’.

It has been told in the previous verse that the Creator of the entire world is Allaah Almighty, and there is none able to create anything with one’s own power.

According to this verse, He, the same Allaah Almighty is, Who has created the humankind. If the human beings think about their own creation and condition, they can understand easily about the creation and form of the world.

It is commanded: Allaah Almighty has created you from clay, and has decreed a term and determined a time of your life and dwelling in this world. You should understand from it that a fixed period has been prescribed to preserve the world also. As your own age ends first or last, in the same manner, sometime or other, the age of the entire world will end too and the Doomsday will have to come.

The intention to cause to understand is that, the universe has been created in accord with a plan and confirmed map. Nobody has ability either to change or damage it. The human being should meditate upon himself to understand it that the one is created from the clay. A particular period has been fixed for keeping him in to existence in the present form. He will die after the specified time. As there is none partner of Allaah Almighty in the creation and death of the human being, like this, the entire world has been created by only That One Sole Commander (Allaah Almighty). Neither there is His any partner in its creation, nor its establishment and nor anyone can participate in its destruction. Islam desires to set this conception about Allaah Almighty in the heart of mankind. And the settlement of all the Islamic commands and system depend on it.

The state of humankind’s creation has already been explained in the lessons of Surah ‘Al-Maaa’-‘idah, in the description of Messenger Jesus (peace be upon Him). It has been enhanced here that the human being will be finished as well as, the entire world will be destroyed sometime or other and the Day of Resurrection will have to come. There is no reason of either humankind’s doubt in it or ascribing any partner of Allaah Almighty in the system (establishment) of the world.
