A gross mistake by story-tellers
Surah Yuusuf(Joseph) - 12
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

Story-tellers have narrated this incident of Joseph (peace be upon him) in a different style, in which they have made a gross mistake. Joseph (peace be upon him) was brought up from the beginning in such a way that there was no chance of wicked and evil thoughts to settle in His heart. By the Qur-‘aan’s way of description, this affair becomes very clear in accordance with the verse under discussion that He (peace be upon him) did never desire her with the thought of evil or lewdness.
