Lesson # 613 - The Evildoers’ Reward

Lesson # 613 From Holy Qur’aan
The Evildoers’ Reward
‘Al-Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)–Stage - 2
Verses–28&29 of 120, Section–5 of 16 (Part 1/2 of 6)
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

28.  Even if thou stretch out thy hand against me to kill me, I shall not stretch out my hand against thee to kill thee. Lo! I fear Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds.

29.  Lo! I would rather thou shouldst bear the punishment of the sin against me and thine own sin and become one of the owners of the Fire. And that is the reward of evildoers.
28.  La-‘im-  basatta  ‘ilayya  yadaka  litaq-tulanii  maaa  ‘ana  bi-baasitiny-yadiya  ‘ilayka  li-‘aqtulak.  ‘Inniii  ‘akhaa-fUllaaha  Rabbal-‘Aalamiin.

29.  ‘Inniii  ‘uriidu  ‘an-  tabuuu-‘a  bi-‘ismii  wa  ‘ismika  fatakuuna  min  ‘As-haabin-Naar.  Wa  zaalika  jazaaa-‘uzzalimiin.

Lesson

Basatta – (you stretch), it is from basat, which means “to spread, to stretch, to lengthen”. Baasit has been derived too from the same word, which means “Given of the prosperity, one of the attributes of Allaah Almighty”. Tabuuu-‘a – (you bear, you get), it is from buu-‘un, which means “to return”. This word has come in Surah ‘Al-Baqarah and the aim of it is “when you finish your work, then there should be load of two sins upon you, 1. Load of that sin, what will be done by you. 2. The load of the sin of my murder”

Abel said to the Cain after it, “If you will stretch out your hand against me to kill me, then it will be your own apprehension. I shall never stretch out my hand with the intention to kill you. Because I fear Allaah Almighty, and I know that He is the Lord of the Worlds, and all the works are managed by His support. I will never wish to displease Him because I fear Him. I have intended neither to shake any part of my body in defense and nor say such a word due to which you become angry upon me, and you kill me in anger. Doing so, some portion of the sin will return to me also. I want to have patience and in such this manner, you should lift the load of my sins as well as your own sins and bear the punishment of the sins against me and yours own. Its result will be that you will become one of the owners of the Fire because that is the reward of evildoers.

Abel said all this for the purpose that perhaps Cain would abstain from the sin by hearing this entire, “I will never contend with you and the load of entire sin will be on your body, and you will be included in the evildoers”. But Cain had become thoughtless due to his wishes. He listened nothing.

Lesson # 612 - A Tale of Abel and Cain, sons of Adam

Lesson # 612 From Holy Qur’aan
A Tale of Abel and Cain, sons of Adam
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verses–27 of 120, Section–5 of 16 (Part–6)–Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And recite unto them with truth the tale of the two sons of A-dam, how they offered each a sacrifice, and it was accepted from the one of them and it was not accepted from the other. (The one) said: I will surely kill thee. (The other) answered: Allaah accepteth only from those who ward off (evil).
Watlu  ‘alayhim  naba-‘abnay  ‘Aadama  bil-haqq.  ‘Iz  qarrabaa  qurbaanan-  fatuqubbila  min  ‘ahadi-himaa  wa  lam  yutaqabbal  minal-‘aakhar.  Qaala  la-‘aqtulunnak.  Qaala  ‘innamaa  yataqabba-lUllaahu  minal-Mutta-qiin.

Lesson

‘’Utlu – (recite, cause to hear by reciting), it is from tilaawat, which means, “reciting, reading, meditation”. Here it aims “to inform, to communicate, to signify). ‘Abnay – (two sons), it is plural of ‘ibn. According to actual word, it should be ‘abnayn. But due to composition of the word after it i.e. Aadam, the last “n” has been dropped. Qarrabaa – (they both offered), it is plural of qarraba, which is from taqriib. Taqriib means ‘nearness’. Taqarrab means “to put something near, to offer, to present”. Qurbaan – (a present, a tribute, a contribution), a thing, which is presented to obtain one’s kindness, it is called “dedication” also. ‘Al-Mutta-qiin – (those persons, who ward off evils), it is plural of Muttaqii, which has been derived from Taqwaa. Taqwaa means “warding off evils due to fear of Allaah Almighty.

In the previous Chapters, particularly in Surah Al-Baqarah, many evils and bad deeds of the Children of Israel have been described. They used to slay their Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon Them), exile their own people by quarreling and commit the riots of various sorts. murder, fight, quarrel, brawl and riot had become their common habits. But when they were commanded to fight correctly against their enemies, then they gave a point blank refusal, as it was mentioned in the previous section.

In this section, it has been caused to understand by telling a tale regarding two sons of Prophet Adam (peace be upon Him) i.e. Abel and Cain, that it is very bad to kill someone and create any disturbance for own purpose. Refusing from fighting (Jihad) is also bad. It is aversion and disobedience of Allaah Almighty and its punishment is very severe.

This refusal from Jihad is not due to the reason that they do not know “how to slay”. But object of their behavior is that they kill the innocent, which is cause of disturbance in the society. And when Allaah Almighty commands to kill the enemies, due to slaying of which, the disturbance and outbreak may be hindered. And peace is established. At that time, they reply stupidly and refuse to strive. What can be result of this denial except that they should be ruined and punished very severely, who refused from Jihad.

Prophet Adam (peace be upon Him) desired to wed Abel with a girl in accord with the procedure at that time. Cain, the brother of Abel said, “No, I should be married this girl”. To finish the wrangling, Prophet Adam (peace be upon Him) said to his both sons, “Offer each of you a sacrifice for the cause of Allaah Almighty. That girl will be married with the person, whose sacrifice is accepted”. It was an established order in those days that the person, who had to offer a sacrifice, he used to bring any good thing and put it at a prescribed place. The sacrifice of the person, whose was accepted, that person’s thing was taken by a fire, and whose thing was not eaten by the fire, that was considered “Not accepted”.

The offering was brought by the both i.e. Abel and Cain and kept at the specified place. The fire came and ate the offering of Abel. It meant that application of Cain was rejected. Now the marriage of that girl was required to be done with Abel. At this stage, fire of jealousy broke out in the heart of Cain. He said Abel very clearly, “I will kill you, if you tried to wed that girl”.

Those people, who are frenzied of their wishes, they know nothing except that their desires should be fulfilled, and that the person should be driven back from the path, whoever becomes stoppage in fulfilling of their will. For this purpose, they use to conspire, flatter, give a bribe and threaten others, to the end that, they never miss any opportunity, and care regarding everything like evil, reward, lawful and unlawful throw behind. Cain adopted this method too and threatened his own brother to kill him.

Abel was a simple person, and had a civilized and unraveled nature. He said, “My offering has been accepted. Its reason is that neither I want to deprive any right of anyone, nor envy from any person, nor intend to quarrel with anyone. I keep myself away from the matters of mischief and disturbance. Allaah Almighty likes the deeds of this kind and these are the tokens of pious and abstinent people. And it is determined Divine Law that He accepts the sacrifice of the pious and abstinent people”.

Lesson # 611 - The Jews Wandered in the Earth, Bewildered

Lesson # 611 From Holy Qur’aan
The Jews Wandered in the Earth, Bewildered
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verses–25&26 of 120, Section–4 of 16 (Part–6)–Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

25.  He said: My Lord! I have control of none but myself and my brother, so distinguish between us and the wrongdoing folk.

26.  (Their Lord) said: For this the land will surely be forbidden them for forty years that they will wander in the earth, bewildered. So grieve not over the wrongdoing folk.
25.  Qaala  Rabbi  ‘innii  laaa  ‘amliku  ‘illaa  nafsii  wa  ‘akhii  fafruq  bay-nanaa  wa  baynal-qawmil-faasiqiin.

26.  Qaala  fa-‘innahaa  muharrama-tun  ‘alayhim  ‘arba-‘iina  sanah.  Yatiihuuna  fil-‘arz.  Falaa ta’-sa ‘alal-Qawmil-faasiqiin.

Lesson

‘Ufruq – (distinguish), it is from Farq, which means “separation, parting with”. That is to say; Separate us from them, we do not want to be included into them. ‘Al-faasiqiin – (wrongdoers), it is from fisq, which means “to go out from the limits of law”. It is plural of Faasiq. He is Faasiq, who neither obeys, nor remains in the limits of law as “a bad character or immoral”.
Yatiihuuna – (bewildered, confused), it is from tiyyah, which means “to wander, to lose one’s way, to search diligently”. It aims that they will wander confused and embarrassed. Laa ta’-sa – (Do not grieve), it is from ‘asii, which means “grief, sorrow, distress, to envy”. It infers that “you should not grieve over them”.

The reply of the Children of Israel was described in the previous lesson. The effect of reply, which influenced Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him), has been mentioned in this verse. He (peace be upon Him) said, “My Lord! Nothing is in my control but me and my brother; we are ready to obey Your Command. Other people of the folk have gripped up their loins to disobey. Incorporate us not into them but distinguish between us and them, because those people are disobedient and wrongdoers”.

It appears from the supplication of Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) that He (peace be upon Him) was very confused from the arrogantly answer of the Children of Israel. His (peace be upon Him) humble petition was accepted and Allaah Almighty commanded; “Now it will not be easy for them to enter that land. If they had obeyed and gone over there, then they would have reaped the advantage from the windfalls of that place. But now they would have to wander in the earth, bewildered surely for forty years.

In these forty years, their present refractory and willful people will expire and their children will go over there and dwell. It was told Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him), “You should not grieve over the disobedient and wrongdoers. They will suffer due to their evil deeds. Do your duty satisfactorily”.

Lesson # 610 - Might is Right

Lesson # 610 From Holy Qur’aan
Might is Right
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verses–23b&24 of 120, Section–4 of 16 (Part–6)–Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

23b.  for if ye enter by it, lo! ye will be victorious. And put your trust (in Allaah) if ye are indeed believers.

24.  They said: O Moses! We will never enter (the land) while they are in it, so go thou and thy Lord and fight! We will sit here.
23b.  Fa-‘izaa  dakhaltumuuhu  fa-‘innakum  gaalibuun.  Wa  ‘alAllaahi  fatawakkaluu  ‘in-kuntum-Mu’-miniin.

24.  Qaaluu  yaa-Muusaaa  ‘innaa  lan-nad-khulahaaa  ‘abadam-maa  daamuu  fiihaa  fazhab  ‘anta  wa  Rabbuka  faqaatilaaa  ‘innaa  haa-hunaa  qaa-‘iduun.

Lesson

The talk of two commanders from the Children of Israel, which had begun in the previous lesson, has been completed in this verse. They said, “If you enter the city and are collected in crowds, then certainly you will be victorious. You claim that you are believers. You should put your trust only in Allaah Almighty because the believers neither fear anyone but Allaah Almighty and nor trust in anyone except God Almighty”. The names of those two commanders were “Yuusha’ son of Noon” and “Kaalib son of Yuuhannaa”.

Those two persons were not influenced by viewing the demon type people of Syria. They had trust in the support of Allaah Almighty. Their hearts were strong because they knew, “The person, who obeys Allaah Almighty and dwells exactly in accordance with His orders, Allaah Almighty shall help him/her. He has commanded us to enter the city of Imaalqah (Syria) and strike those giant people out from the city. Now it is our duty that we should make violent attack upon them quiet fearlessly according to the direct order of Allaah Almighty. He shall give us a victory upon them. We should contemplate only towards Allaah Almighty. He is the most Powerful and Strong. None has any power against Him. Most strong persons have no authority before Him and the weak overcome upon the powerful and giant people with His help.

But the nation of Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) did not listen to those commanders and replied, “O Moses! We will never enter that land while those giant people are in it, so go you and your Lord and fight! We will sit here”. It is easy to conjecture from their answer that how much the Children of Israel had become rude, obstinate and ill-behaved.

Lesson # 609 - Unto whom Allaah had been gracious, Said: Enter in upon them by the gate

Lesson # 609 From Holy Qur’aan
Unto whom Allaah had been gracious, Said: Enter in upon them by the gate
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verses–22&23a of 120, Section–4 of 16 (Part–6)–Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

22.  They said: O Moses! Lo! a giant people (dwell) therein and lo! we will not go in till they go forth from thence. When they go forth from thence, then we will enter (not till then).

23a.  Then out spake two of those who feared (their Lord) (men) unto whom Allaah had been gracious: Enter in upon them by the gate,
22.  Qaaluu  yaa-Muusaaa  ‘inna  fiihaa  qawman-  jabbaariina  wa  ‘innaa  lan-nadkhulahaa  hattaa  yakhrujuu  minhaa.  Fa-‘iny-yakhrujuu  minhaa  fa-‘innaadaa  khiluun.

23a.  Qaala  rajulaani  minallaziina  yakhaafuuna  ‘an-‘amAllaahu  ‘alay-himad-khuluu  ‘alay-himul-Baab,

Lesson

Jabbaariina – (a giant people), it is plural of jabbaar, which is from jabar. Jabar means ‘powerfulness’ and Jabbaar means Powerful.

It was discussed in the previous lesson that twelve commanders from the Children of Israel were sent by Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) to know correctly the circumstances of Syria. After their return, ten of them terrified the Children of Israel by telling them that the people of Syria looked as powerful as the demons. Therefore, when Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) said to His people, “Enter in the city like braves and conquer it, because Allaah Almighty has already established it for you. Take it in your possession”. Then they denied very clearly.

The Children of Israel said, “O Moses (peace be upon Him): The people dwell therein are very powerful and look as beings of human form but of extraordinary statures like demons. We will not go in till they go forth from thence. However, when they go forth from thence, then we will enter with great pleasure”. Their reply is telling clearly that those persons, who had viewed those people (Syrians), they had praised well about the city, but frightened the Children of Israel, whereas Moses (peace be upon Him) had forbidden them to tell about the people. Nevertheless, two such persons out of them even were, who acted upon the instruction of Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) and praised about the city before them. At that time, those two persons encouraged the Children of Israel, after hearing their reply.

Allaah Almighty has praised those two persons in the verse and appointed them as pious men only, and said, “Unto them Allaah had been gracious that they kept their footing on their treaty, which they promised with Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him)”. At that time those two commanders said, “O Children of Israel! Enter in the city by the gate unhesitatingly, fight against them and do not fear”.

Lesson # 608 - Placement of Prophets among the Jews by Allaah

Lesson # 608 From Holy Qur’aan
Placement of Prophets among the Jews by Allaah
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verses–20&21 of 120, Section–4 of 16 (Part–6)–Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

20.  And (remember) when Moses said unto his people: O my people! Remember Allaah’s Favour unto you, how He placed among you Prophets, and He made you kings, and gave you that (which) He gave not to any (other) of (His) creatures.

21.  O my people! Go into the Holy Land which Allaah hath ordained for you; turn not in flight, for surely ye turn back as losers.
20.  Wa  ‘iz  qaala  Muusaa  li-qawmihii  yaa-qawmiz-kuruu  ni’-matAllaahi  ‘alaykum  ‘iz  ja-‘ala  fiikum  ‘ambi-yaaa-‘a  wa  ja-‘alakum-muluukanw-wa  ‘aataakum-maa  lam  yu’-ti  ‘ahadam-minal-‘aalamiin.

21.  Yaa-qawmid-khulul-‘Arzal-Muqaddasa-tallatii  kata-bAllaahu  lakum  wa  laa  tartadduu  ‘alaaa  ‘adbaarikum  fatan-qalibuu  khaasiriin.

Lesson

Yaa-qawmi – (O my people), muluukan - (kings), ‘al-‘Arzal-Muqaddasa-ta – it aims ‘the countries – Syria and Palestine’, where many Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon Them) were sent by Allaah Almighty. Every span of this earth is full of sacred marks and monuments. Laa  tartadduu – (do not turn), it is from ir-tadaad, which has been made from raddun. Radd means ‘to return’, Ir-tadaad – means ‘to turn from’. Adbaar – it is plural of dabar, which means ‘the back’. Khaasiriin – (losers), it is plural of khaasir, which is from khasaaraa. Khasaaraa means loss.

Allaah Almighty reminds the Jews in these verses, up to the end of this section, His favors, which He bestowed upon them. Intent to tell this again and again is that they should not disobey too much Merciful Allaah Almighty and follow His Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), so that they may be triumphant in the both worlds. Along with it, the Muslims have been taught that they should never be arrogant in such a manner with Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) as the Jews did with their Messenger, Moses (peace be upon Him), so that they may be saved from those punishments and disasters, which the Jews had to face due to their own wickedness.

It has been written in the Explanations of Holy Qur’aan that, when the people of the native country of Messenger Abraham (peace be upon Him) disobeyed Him and did not left the worship of idols, then He (peace be upon Him) left His residence ‘Iraq’ and began to live in Syria. At that time Allaah Almighty promised Him (peace be upon Him), “I shall make your children, owners of Syria. Prophet Jacob titled Israel {grandson of Abraham (peace be upon Them)} came to Egypt with His children on the call by His son Joseph (peace be upon Them) after leaving Syria. Then they settle there and were called Bani Israel. Further on, the king of Egypt, Pharaoh began to oppress them, some part of which story has passed in Surah Al-Baqarah, and some part will be recited in Surah Al-A’-raaf and Surah Taa-haa.

Allaah Almighty sent Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him), appointing His Messenger, towards Pharaoh, so that He (peace be upon Him) admonish him that he should leave to molest the Children of Israel and believe in Allaah Almighty. But he did not believe. At last, Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) brought the Children of Israel, discharging them from Egypt to the other bank across the river. Syria was a little far from that place and during those days, a nation “Amaaliqah” was ruling there. At that time, Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) said to the Children of Israel, “The time of completion of that promise, which was made by Allaah Almighty with Prophet Abraham (peace be upon Him) has come. Syria is of yours, but it is necessary that you would have to strive against Amaaliqah.

It has been mentioned in these verses that Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) wanted to prepare His nation, the Children of Israel, for Jihad and said, “A lot of Favors of Allaah Almighty have remained upon you. With effect from the reign of your Grand Father Abraham (peace be upon Him) entire Messengers and Prophets (peace be upon Them) were born in His children i.e. Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob etc. (peace be upon Them). Then Allaah Almighty bestowed upon you empire in the world. Out of you, Prophet Joseph (peace be upon Him) became king of Egypt.

Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) had known through Divine revelation about the state of those kings, which had to come from the Children of Israel after Him (peace be upon Him) as David, Solomon etc. (peace be upon Him). He (peace be upon Him) is telling all these Favors of Allaah Almighty upon the Children of Israel. To obtain it, they have to obey the Command of Allaah Almighty by fighting against their enemies at this time. Allaah Almighty bestowed upon you ranks of the religion as well as the world. Accordingly, Prophets and Messenger (peace be upon Them) were born from you too and supreme kings also became from you. Therefore, you should enter this holy land and consider yourselves most fortunate, that it was promised with your Grand Father Abraham (peace be upon Him) that “Syria country would be given to your children” and that would be completed with your hands.

Before this, Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) sent twelve commanders from the Children of Israel to Syria that they had to bring correct news of that country and tell its circumstances. After returning, they told Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) that Syria had many beauties, but those people, who were in authority there, they were very powerful like demons. Prophet Moses (peace be upon Him) said to those commanders, “Tell the people about the excellence of that country and do not say them that “those people are very powerful and oppressive, lest after hearing, the Children of Israel lose their spirit”. All the twelve commanders promised for it but after coming out, two of them kept their footing, whereas other ten commanders told the people, “The people of Syria are not humans but demons, so powerful that neither we looked earlier, nor listened”.

Lesson # 607 - God is Reproving the People of the Scripture

Lesson # 607 From Holy Qur’aan
God is Reproving the People of the Scripture
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verses–18&19 of 120, Section–3 of 16 (Part–6)–Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

18.  -The Jews and Christians say: We are sons of Allaah and His loved ones. Say: Why then doth He chastise you for your sins? Nay, ye are but mortals of His creating. He forgiveth whom He will, and chastiseth whom He will. And Allaah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and unto Him is the journeying.
19.  O People of the Scripture! Now hath Our Messenger come unto you to make things plain unto you after an interval (of cessation) of the messengers, lest ye should say: There came not unto us a messenger of cheer nor any warner. Now hath a Messenger of cheer and a warner come unto you. And Allaah is Able to do all things.
18.  Wa  qaalatil-Yahuudu  wan-Nasaaraa  nahnu  ‘abnaaa-‘Ullaahi  wa  ‘ahibbaaa-‘Uh.  Qul  falima  Yu-‘azzibukum-  bi-zu-nuubikum.  Bal  ‘antum-basharum-mimman  khalaq.  Yagfiru  limany-yashaaa-‘u  wa  Yu-‘azzibu  many-yashaaa’.  Wa  LIllaahi  mulkus-samaawaati  wal-‘arzi  wa  maa  bay-nahumaa  wa  ‘IlayHil-masiir.

19.  Yaaa-‘Ahlal-Kitaabi  qad  jaaa-‘akum  RasuuluNaa  yubayyinu  lakum  ‘alaa  fatratim-minar-rusuli  ‘an- taquuluu  maa  jaaa-‘anaa  mim-  bashiirinw-wa  laa  naziir;  faqad  jaaa-‘akum  Bashiirunw-wa  Naziir.  WAllaahu  ‘alaa  kulli  shay-‘in  Qadiir.

Lesson

‘Ahibbaaa-‘Uh – (His loved ones), it is plural of habib, which means “friend, fondling and caressed”.

The Jews and the Christians used to consider themselves noble than all other people. When they reached between the simple people of Arab, they also accepted them generally as respectable. These so called superior people used to tell them their stories. At that time, when Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) Messenger of Allaah Almighty came and told the Arabians their evil deeds, then they were weary. Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) frightened them from the punishment of Allaah Almighty and said, “Now you cannot get respect until you do not obey Me”. Later, their scholars said, “You should tell these Sayings to your nation-fellow Arabs. Our dignity is very high”. Even they said, “We are sons of God, His beloved and chosen people”.

We have recited in Surah Al-Baqarah and then in Surah Aali-‘Imraan that the Jews used to say, “We shall not be given punishment of Fire. And if that was, that would be only for a few days”. There they were replied, “Show that contract, in which it has been written that you would be saved from the anguish”. In Surah Aali-‘Imraan it was told that “Those descriptions have put them in deception, which have been included in the religion by themselves”. They have been responded in this verse as reply of their haughtily saying so, “We are intimates and fondling of God”.

It has been indicated here, “If, your saying so (we are loved ones of God) is correct, then why are you punished in this world? Sometime you are ordered to kill each other, at another time you are fallen into plague. It is apparent that you are also mortals of His creating (humankind like others) and you fall too under the same principle (He forgiveth whom He will, and chastiseth whom He will), because Sovereignty of the heavens, the earth and all that, which is between them, is of Allaah Almighty only. No creature can postpone His Order and unto Him is the journeying of the entire creatures including human beings. Loved ones (servants) of Allaah Almighty are only those persons, who do good works and ward off sins, evils and bad deeds due to fear of His punishment. It is promise of Allaah Almighty with them that they will not face any distress, grief or sadness on the Day of Resurrection.

Fatratun – {to be lazy, to become loose, an interval (of cessation)}, fatuur is also from it, which means “deficiency, reduction, loss”. If something has been happening constantly, and then it has been stopped and its act of continuing has been suspended, this process of suspension and stoppage is called fatarah. And the period, during which it remained suspended, will be called “The Time of Fataratun”. No Messenger/Prophet had come since nearly six hundred year, after the Prophet Christ (peace be upon Him) and coming of the Prophets/Messengers was ceased. It is called Fataratun. Here it has been described that “The Messenger of the end of time, that is to say; Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), Last Messenger of Allaah Almighty has come now unto you after an interval (of cessation) of the messengers. Believe in Him and obey Him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

It has been described in this verse, “Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has come unto you for the purpose, “to tell about the good news to the good people and to warn the evildoers about their punishment”. As per Arabic language, Bashiir is the Cheer and Naziir is the Warner. Therefore, every Messenger’s title is Bashiir and Naziir (peace be upon Them). This verse discloses that in future none can say, “No Bashiir (Cheer) and Naziir (Warner) came towards us”, because this Last Messenger of Allaah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has come in the world, Who is also Bashiir and Naziir. Neither the world can be arranged, nor Hereafter without obeying Him (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

At the end, the People of the Scripture have been threatened, “Remember! Allaah is Able to do all things. If you will not believe, He can bring into being more Believers of His religion, emitting you and can deprive you from His Mercy due to your wicked deeds”.

Lesson # 606 - False Belief of the Christians

Lesson # 606 From Holy Qur’aan
False Belief of the Christians
Surah Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)
Verse –17 of 120, Section – 3 of 16 (Part–6) –Stage - 2
 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allaah is but Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allaah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allaah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allaah is Able to do all things.
Laqad  kafaral-laziina  qaaluuu  ‘innAllaaha  Huwal-Masiihubnu-Maryam.  Qul  famany-yamliku  minAllaahi  shay-‘an  ‘in  ‘araada  ‘any-yuhlikal-Masiihabna-  Maryama  wa  ‘ummahuu  wa  man- fil- ‘arzi  jamii-‘aa.  Wa  LIllaahi  mulkus-samaawaati  wal-‘arzi  wa  maa  baynahumaa.  Yakhluqu  maa  yashaaa’.  WAllaahu  ‘alaa  kulli  shay-‘in- Qadiir.

Lesson

Kafara – (disbelieved), it has been made from kufr, which means “not to believe the correct, to deny that, which has been told by the wisdom of unselfish people as true”.

False faith of some Christians has been described in this verse and that has been contradicted against the human sense. A sect of the Christians, which is called Ya’-quubia, has the same belief, that Allaah has appeared in the world in the form of Prophet Christ (peace be upon Him). Common Christians use to say also such words, clear summary of which discloses the same meaning that the Messiah is the God. For instance; they say that Jesus Christ and God are not separate from each other. And they also say that “Allaah (God) is One”. It is known from this description that Christ (peace be upon Him) is the God. Holy Qur’aan tells us in very clear words, “Say: He is Allaah, the One! God, the eternally Besought of all! He begetteth not nor was begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him”. (Surah ‘aikhlaas – 112). Allaah Almighty is Detached from the entire and is Above the entire, and the entire are His creatures. He brings into being, to whom He wishes and discharges from the world, to whom He wills. The entire things and all the humankind are in His Divine Power. Nothing is out of His Order.

It has been described that those people who make up such stories, from which it comes out that Messiah son of Mary (peace be upon Them) is only God. Those people, who say so, are infidels. They did not understand correctly the Greatness and Dignity of Allaah Almighty. Tell them, “Allaah Almighty has created the skies, the earth and their all things, and Messiah and His Mother Mary (peace be upon Them) are also included into them. If He wishes to ruin and destroy Messiah and His Mother Mary (peace be upon Them), and the entire things of the earth, then there is none (individually or collectively), who has power to save anything or person out of them. To whom He will wish to be produced, that surely will be brought into being, and will be born in such a manner; as He (Allaah Almighty) desires. And to whom He wills to destroy, surely that will be ruined. Nobody can save it.
