Lesson # 955 - Cord of carelessness is loosened by Allah

Lesson # 955 from the Noble Quran

Cord of carelessness is loosened by Allah

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verses – 182 & 183 of 206, Section – 23 of 24 (Part  - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

182.  And those who deny Our Revelations – step by step We lead them on from whence they know not.

183.  I give them rein (for) lo! My scheme is strong.
182.  Wallaziina  kazzabuu  bi-‘AayaatiNaa  sanas-tadrijuhum-min  haysu  laa  ya’-lamuun.

183.  Wa  ‘umlii  lahum.  ‘Inna  kaydii  matiin.

Lesson

Nas-tadrijuhum – (step by step We lead them, We shall arrest them in process of time), the origin of this word is ‘istadraaj and it has been derived from the word darjun. Darjun means “to move little by little”. The word darjah is also from the same which is a famous word and which aims “a stage, destination or a storey of a house, a ladder or a step of the stair”. ‘Istadraaj means “to go ahead step by step”. It aims that God says: We shall let them commit evils and their punishment will be increased little by little, and they will not know that misfortune will be coming very soon.

‘Umlii – (I give rein), its origin is ‘amlaaa’ which means “to give respite, to delay, to loosen, to let go”. Actually, this word has been made from the word “malawun”, which means “a portion of the time”. Malwaanun is used for day and night. So the meaning of ‘amlaaa’ would be “to let the time pass”.

Kaydun – (scheme) – to make a secret plan against any foe, due to which, he is not harmed at the spot, but is punished at the end with full scale.

Matiin – (strong), it is an adjective from the word matan. Matan means strength, ripeness, maturity etc. Matiin means “that actual strong and matured thing which may not be broken. Such thing is also called matan. Here, it aims “My secret plan is very strong, which cannot be destroyed”.

It is commanded: Those people who turned away from Our Revelations by saying “These are false”, usually they are not punished immediately but their cord of carelessness is loosened. And they are provided worldly wealth, power and dignity in abundance. They become happy and begin to say: Allah, the Messengers, the Scriptures and the Doomsday (all) have been composed a blunder. Behold! We have reached the highest place from the lowest with our wisdom and prudence.

Then it is commanded by Allah Almighty: I give them rein for consequently I shall arrest them in process of time unawares. They cannot be saved from My scheme and secret plan. That scheme will lead them; at last; to a severe distress and wrath, by keeping them increased in wealth and prosperity and by surrounding them from all around.

This verse is very awful. The people who do not believe in Allah Almighty, consider that Messengers and Scriptures are needless, and say that they have been moving up in wealth and dignity, they should think that if they carried on as now and any heavy misfortune fell suddenly upon them, they would not be able to do something. Therefore, it is convenient if they accept the commands of Islam now with true heart and do the worldly work considering it casual and perform only as much, which is needful for living. And they should pass remaining time in the consideration of the Hereafter.

Lesson # 954 - Invoke Allah by His Fairest Names

Lesson # 954 from the Noble Quran

Invoke Allah by His Fairest Names

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verses – 180 & 181 of 206, Section – 22 of 24 (Part  - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

180.  Allah’s are the Fairest Names, Invoke Him by Them. And leave the company of those who blaspheme His Names. They will be requited what they do.

181.  And of those whom We created there is a nation who guide with the Truth and establish justice therewith.
180.  Wa  LIllaahil-‘Asmaaa-‘ul-Husnaa  fad-‘uuHu  bihaa.  Wa  zarullaziina  yul-hiduuna  fiii  ‘Asmaaa-‘iH.  Sa-yuj-zawna  maa  kaanuu  ya’-maluun.

181.  Wa  mimman  khalaqNaaa  ‘ummatuny-yahduuna  bil-haqqi  wa  bihii  ya’-diluun.

Lesson

Zaruu – (leave), it is a word of command and its origin is wazara, which means – to leave. Alphabetical letter “wa” was dropped, so it became tense of command, plural of which is zaruu and it has been used here.

Yul-hiduuna – {(those people who) blaspheme}. The origin of this word is ‘ilhaad, which has been derived from the word lahad. It means “impiety, irreligion, idol worship, disbelief, atheism and blasphemy etc.” A famous word “Mulhid” has been made from it also, which means “the individual who leaves the Truth and inclines unto the false, an infidel, an unbeliever, a free-thinker”.

It was narrated in the previous verse that some people become uninstructed and inattentive intentionally whereas they know all. They remain in the meditation of only the world. It has been described in this verse that the world is not useful for anyone. It is the greatest ignorance if someone forgets Allah Almighty due to being entangled in it.

It is commanded that many Fairest Names are of Allah Almighty. The mankind should invoke Him (God) by those Names. However, those people who use their sense in His Names, they choose a wrong way. You should leave them and have not any concern with them. They will be punished properly against their wicked acts.

Then, God Almighty commands: There is a nation from Our creatures who keep the Truth in view every time and establish justice in accordance with the Correct. This nation is the nation of Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), who are called Muslims.

Crooked trick in the Names of Allah Almighty is either “Accepting that authority or power in others and giving the name, which is an attribute of God Almighty only” or “Choosing the names of Allah Almighty according to own will” or “Daily worshiping of His Name for getting any unbecoming object”. In short, Allah Almighty should be called with only those Names which exist in Holy Qur’an and the Sayings of His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him), and the supplication should be prayed according to that method and only for those purposes, which have been transcribed from the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him).

Lesson # 953 - People have hearts wherewith they do not understand

Lesson # 953 from the Noble Quran

People have hearts wherewith they do not understand

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 179 of 206, Section – 22 of 24 (Part  - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And assuredly We have urged unto Hell many of the jinn and humankind, having hearts wherewith they understand not, and having eyes wherewith they see not, and having ears wherewith they hear not. These are as the cattle – nay, but they are more astray! These are the neglectful.
Wa  laqad  zara’-Naa  li-Jahannama  kasiiram-minal-Jinni  wal-‘Ins;  lahum  quluu-bul-laa  yafqa-huuna  bihaa  wa  lahum  ‘a’-yunul-laa  yub-siruuna  bihaa,  wa  lahum  ‘aazaanul-laa  yasma-‘uuna  bihaa.  ‘Ulaaa-‘ika  kal-‘an-‘aami  bal  hum  ‘azall.  ‘Ulaaa-‘ika  humul-gaafiluun.

Lesson

It was known from the previous verses that many well-educated, very intelligent people who can see and hear, want nothing except casual pleasure and happiness of the world, whereas, it was the demand of their science, knowledge and wisdom that they would have to rise in humanity, but like animals, they remain engaged only in eating, drinking, amusement and cheerfulness. What is the reason that they insist intentionally upon the worldly things like children and do not make themselves comfortable as long they do not get, but even after getting, they don’t feel themselves at peace because still one wish is not yet fulfilled that another entraps them.

It is commanded: Many demons and human beings in Our creatures have been created only for the Hell. Here; if you ask their signs; they do not use their hearts for thinking and understanding. They have eyes but those do not strike them to see any useful thing. They have ears but do not hear the advantageous things. They are a form of mankind but fallen in fulfilling their wishes like animals – nay, but dead and gone more than them because the animals obey their master. If they eat, provided by their master, they work for him also, whereas these people do not know their Master, notwithstanding that they have sense, eyes and ears, even then; neither they try to understand His Commands, nor see and nor hear. If someone desires to look the creature brimful in negligence, look at them.

When a thing is made or created, many such particles are along with it which are required to be thrown away for getting the original one, as hard rinds and seeds along with the fruit, foam and rust on sweet drink, peels, scratch pieces and cuttings of an original thing, which are separated; when it is made etc. Likewise, the creature – good for nothing exists also along with the useful creature, which will be thrown into the Hell because that will be able to be thrown. The good people will be rewarded after selection. Being evildoers along with the righteous people is a law of the creation of the world. The genuine is separated from the False by means of heating.

Lesson # 952 - Evil as an example are those who denied God’s Revelations

Lesson # 952 from the Noble Quran

Evil as an example are those who denied God’s Revelations

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verses – 177 & 178 of 206, Section – 22 of 24 (Part  - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

177.  Evil as an example are the folk who denied Our Revelations, and were wont to wrong themselves.

178.  He whom Allah leadeth, he indeed is led aright, while he whom Allah sendeth astray – they indeed are losers.
177.  Saaa-‘a  masalaa-nil-qawmul-laziina  kazzabuu  bi-‘AayaatiNaa  wa  ‘anfu-sahum  kaanuu  yazli-muun.

178.  Many-yah-DIllaahu  fahuwal-muhtadii.  Wa  many-yuzlil  fa-‘ulaaa-‘ika  humul-khaasiruun.

Lesson

At first, those people were illustrated by a simile of dog who give importance to the worldly dignity, pomp and splendor. These people are confused every time in collecting the luxury goods of the world, and they remain upset and confused in the same embarrassment every time. Whether you advise them or not, tell them useful matters or not, they have to remain engaged every time in their own business.

It has been described in this verse that the people like them have fallen far away from the humanity. They remain engaged in the collection of worldly things; are desirous of getting superiority in money, wealth and power from one another. And they have been destroying themselves.

It is commanded that these fascinated people of the world cast the Revelations of Allah Almighty behind. Which thing has remained next to save them from loss now? They have been running for the name and pomp of the world, and there is darkness in every direction, because the Light could be taken from the Revelations of God Almighty only. But they put those Revelations in the trash; saying that those were false and fabricated. Now; there is nothing which may save them from the stumbles and pits of the way. Soon, they will be laying face-down in any ditch. Certainly, they have been damaging themselves by falsifying Our Revelations. If they say: we have knowledge. We are scientists. Our awe has been spreading everywhere. We have no deficiency of the light.
Then; cause to hear them: it is not necessary that only useful things are seen by knowledge and science, unless Allah Almighty does not guide. Even the science is origin of destruction. Those who turned from Allah Almighty and He left them without saving from the wrong way; they will die tomorrow; if not today. They can inherit nothing but loss only.

It is the fact that science and knowledge cannot be guarantee of deliverance of the human being. None should be proud of them. Whosoever considers that he has attained everything by his science, now there is no need of God Almighty and His Revelations, you should say to that ignorant: If you compare your knowledge and science with the Science and Knowledge of God Almighty, your knowledge and science have no reality against His; even equal to a grain of mustard seed. If He desire, He can break these webs of the spider of yours within a moment. It happened many times earlier and even now it may happen any time too. (God forbid).

Lesson # 951 - A whip for those who say themselves scholars

Lesson # 951 from the Noble Quran

A whip for those who say themselves scholars

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 176b of 206, Section – 22 of 24 (Part  - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Such is the likeness of the people who deny Our Revelations. So narrate unto them the history (of the men of old), that haply they may take thought.
Zaalika  masa-lul-qawmil-laziina  kazzabuu  bi-‘AayaatiNaa.  Faqsusil-qasasa  la-‘allahum  yatafakkaruun.

Lesson

Masa-lu – this word has many meanings – likeness, agreement or similarity in certain respects between things otherwise different, resemblance, analogous (to), similitude, conformity, or such condition which is applicable upon many forms etc.

Faqsus – it is a word of command which has been derived from qasas, qissah is from it also which means “a tale, a story, a fable, narration, dispute etc. Qasas means “to narrate, to follow after someone. Here it aims “to narrate”.

‘Al-qasasa  - it is a simple noun which means “a story, condition, a tale”. It is wrong to consider it as plural of qissah but plural of qissah is qisas.

Circumstances of such individual were narrated in the previous verses who was given knowledge of God’s Revelations by Him, but due to greed of casual benefits of the world, he chose the path of straying by giving up these Revelations. The reason was that the desire of worldly riches had made him blind and he was prepared to fulfill the demands of his wishes without let or hindrance. The science and knowledge did not give him any advantage, although it was laden over him like a burden. He was like a dog who would have to pant whether he is loaded or unloaded. His evil habits brought him unto straying. If he did not have knowledge, even then; he would have done the same, and while he had knowledge, he committed the same. Even; that Allah Almighty loosened him. If He willed, He would have made him a man of high dignity by means of his science, but his worldly greediness overcame him, then he was worthless, dead and gone.

Allah Almighty commands in this verse that it is not for any one particular individual, but those all people are like him who falsify Our Revelations. Their inner wickedness causes them to be sunk. They know everything but accept nothing. They consider that this world only is everything whereas they do not give any importance to the Hereafter. Though; the Messengers of Allah Almighty (peace be upon Them) admonish them as much as they can. Whether the Revelations of God Almighty shake them by calling again and again, neither their eyes are opened from the dream of carelessness and nor they learn from the admonitory circumstances of others. Even then, O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him)! You should continue narrating unto them the circumstances of old people and reminding them their sorrowful consequence. From this; it may be expected that haply some thought may be born in their heart and they begin to use their sense. Otherwise, after closing advice and admonition, there can be no other hope for them except their ruin and destruction.

This verse is a whip for those people who say about themselves that they are scholars. They should act upon their knowledge carefully and show themselves by their word and deed; to others; as a good example.

Lesson # 950 - A miracle of modern knowledge and science

Lesson # 950 from the Noble Quran

A miracle of modern knowledge and science

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 176a of 206, Section – 22 of 24 (Part  - 9)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And had We willed We would have raised him by their means, but he clung to the earth and followed his own lust. Therefore his likeness is as the likeness of a dog; if thou attackest him he panteth with his tongue out, and if thou leavest him he panteth with his tongue out.
Wa  law  shi’-Naa  la-rafa’-Naahu  bihaa  wa  laa-kinnahuuu  ‘akhlada  ‘ilal-‘arzi  wattaba-‘a  hawaah.  Famasaluhuu  kamasalil-kalb.  ‘In-  tahmil  ‘alayhi  yal-has  ‘aw  tat-ruk-hu  yalhas.

Lesson

‘Akhlada – {(he) clung, inclined to}, it is past tense. Its origin is ‘akhlaad, which has been derived from khalad. Khaluud means – living forever. ‘Akhlada – to elect forever, ‘akhlada  ‘ilal-‘arzi (he liked to live in the earth, that is to say; preferred the things of this world.

Yal-has – (he pants), the origin of this word is lahas, which means “to breathe heavily and swiftly, to hang out the tongue as the dog acts usually, so that the inner heat should come out and the fresh air enter into body quickly, which is necessary for the worldly life.

It has been described in this verse that the Revelations of Allah Almighty are sufficient for raising the position of a mankind and can carry him at higher place of humanity by lifting up from the platform of brutality, but every human being cannot reap advantage from it. If his surroundings caused to forget the lesson of his nature and despite the warning by Messengers (peace be upon Them) and having knowledge of the Revelations of God Almighty, he does not incline towards it, then one should understand that his bad habits will ruin him, and the Revelations of Allah Almighty will not provide him any benefit. He has become slave of his own desires. Apparent and casual pomp and show of worldly profit has inclined his heart unto itself. His likeness is entirely like a dog, as according to his habit; whether he lifts up a burden or is left without burden, he does not leave panting. Similarly, following one’s own desires, this individual will have evil habits, and whether he has been lifting up the burden of Knowledge or otherwise, is equal. He will do what he wishes. Certainly he will do in accordance with his nature.

Those people should learn from it, who, despite being scholars and having knowledge of everything, do not care for the Commands of Allah Almighty, and being attracted unto the world; they begin to follow the commands of Satan. Their knowledge is not useful for them and evil habits overcome upon them; too much that those become their second nature.

There is a hint in this verse that knowledge without practice is useless, on the contrary, it becomes a light house for wicked deeds of the humankind. And he finds such tricks by thinking for acquiring benefits of the world, which, illiterate people can never think. If someone has any doubt in evil by means of science, he should behold the Atom Bomb and think: Whether the Scientist has not cut the ears of Satan by providing the equipment for destruction? This is a miracle of modern knowledge and science.
