Lesson # 635 - A True Believer Keeps his Duty to God Almighty

Lesson # 635 From Holy Qur’aan

A True Believer Keeps his Duty to God Almighty

‘Al-Maaa-‘idah (the Table Spread) – Chapter – 5)–Stage - 2

Verse – 57 of 120, Section – 9 of 16 (Part - 6)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

O Ye who believe! Choose not for guardians such of those who received the Scripture before you, and of the disbelievers, who made a jest and sport of your religion. And keep your duty to Allaah if ye are true believers.
Yaaa-‘ayyu-hallaziina  ‘aamanuu  laa  tatta-khizul-laziinatta-khazuu  Diinakum  huzuwanw-wa  la-‘ibam-minal-laziina  ‘uutul-Kitaaba  min-  qablikum  wal-kuffaara  ‘awli-yaaa’.  Watta-qUllaaha  ‘in-kuntum- Mu’-miniin.

Lesson

It was ordered in the primary verses of previous Section, “Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends”. This order has also been delivered in the beginning of this Section, but with a little difference. The reason of this command has been explained here more clearly, and other infidels have also been included in this category, because the root of the behavior of the both (the people of the Scripture and the Infidels) is the same.

It is commanded that you have believed in Allaah Almighty. Believing in Allaah Almighty is, believing in this advice that all the human beings are servants of Allaah Almighty, so all are equal in this respect. Everyone should be provided necessary things according to one’s necessity. Neither anyone should make the other his own slave and nor anyone should be the slave of any other but Allaah Almighty.

Therefore, you are advised that you should not rely on the friendship of those people, who call themselves “the Jews, the Christians” and those who received the Scripture before you, because they make a jest of your religion and take your thoughts in the sense of absurd, and take not your way of life other than a sport.

This foul imagination has taken place in their heart that they are most superior and best of all, and all of others should remain under their pressure. Think with wisdom now! Can harmony, deep relationship and true friendship be between you and them? Never, so you should keep your footing in your belief and do not fear anyone but Allaah Almighty.

Like them, there are other infidels also. It is their old rule to loot one another, to keep others under influence and make them slaves. They also look their death in Islam like the Jews and the Christians. They can never be your guardians. We knew from it that the people, who insult the religions of one another, cannot be friends of each other.

In short, everyone has right of freedom in religion and imaginations. A mutual agreement is necessary for provision of the necessities of life to everybody of the world according to one’s desires and a treaty of safety and peace. Then all people can live in the world satisfactorily.
