Lesson # 889 - How God did multiply you

Lesson # 889 from the Noble Quran

How God did multiply you

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 86b of 206, Section – 11 of 24 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And remember, when ye were but few, how He did multiply you. And see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters!
Waz-kuruuu  ‘iz  kuntum  qaliilan  fakas-sarakum.  Wan-zuruu  kayfa  kaana  ‘aaqi-batul-muf-siduun.

Lesson

Summary of the teachings of God’s Messengers (peace be upon Them) and His Scriptures is that there is no other way of mankind’s prosperity, success and wellness than that he should know his Creator; God Almighty and get ready to obey His Commands whole-heartily, and he should not listen to anyone against Him. He should consider himself Satan or an individual entrapped in his snare who causes to understand him save this path. And one should reject his word totally. The easiest way to know Allah Almighty is this, which has been described in this verse in the form of the Saying of Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him).

It is commanded that Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) said to His nation: Think about it, when you were only a handful people before now. You had very less quantities of the goods, which you needed for your life. After that, you became a very powerful nation. Your enumeration of population was increased very much, and as well as, the stacks of life equipage were piled with you.

Now you are a rich and honorable nation. You can understand easily from this improvement that it was a big favor of Allah Almighty, which He granted to you. If He had not done acts of kindness on you, you would have adopted such ways, due to which, you would have remained without children and suffered scarcity of the necessities of life. You should think about those people also who were before you. They forgot Allah Almighty, adopted bad habits and corruption spread in the world due to their wicked deeds. Peace and safety was removed. At last, they were ruined and removed from the page of the world like a wrong word.

If none of mankind will believe in Allah Almighty, the people will consider that family breed and financial developments are consequence of knowledge and attempt, then nothing efficacious will remain more, which may resist the mischief. Everyone presumes that he is powerful than others. Incumbent result of which is that every individual begins to consider other people inferior to him and tries to keep them under pressure.

Obviously, no one is ready to remain inferior to any other and everyone is engaged to increase own power and strength. Resultant, everyone tries to collect the equipment of destruction for other people in spite of spending his wealth, strength and attempt in useful humanitarian works and projects. His wealth and strength is wasted in collection of the equipment of destruction. If now, there was war, then all were killed. Otherwise if the war did not take place, then goods for life continued to be less. The point of dying reached. Finally, both forms can bring nothing save ruin.

This advice of Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) is useful, even today too as it was then. There are own sensual desires only, which resist from accepting it. Selfish person is not ready to consider other people equal to him easily. Therefore, he is inclined to tyrannize and trouble others to fulfill his own wishes.

Lesson # 888 - Turning the believers away from God’s Path

Lesson # 888 from the Noble Quran

Turning the believers away from God’s Path

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 86a of 206, Section – 11 of 24 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And lurk not on every path to threaten (wayfarers), and to turn away from Allah’s path him who believeth in Him, and to seek to make it crooked.
Wa  laa  taq-‘uduu  bi-kulli  siraatin  tuu-‘iduuna  wa  tasudduuna  ‘an  Sabii-LIllaahi  maa  ‘aamana  biHii  wa  tab-guunahaa  ‘i-wajaa.

Lesson

When Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) began to advise the people of Madian and the sweet words spoken by Him began to touch the hearts of listeners, then astray people of His nation established places, where people used to meet on the coming and going paths, and began to prevent the people to see Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) and hear Him. Even that, they began to threaten them and find faults with the Path, shown by Him. And they began also to persuade to keep their footing on their bad path. Then Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) commanded them: Behold! Don’t do so, you should neither blockade the path of people and nor prevent them by threatening from their coming unto Me and that way of bargaining, which Allah Almighty has determined, and nor try to finish them, who have believed in Allah Almighty and are ready to obey His Commands. And you should not pick holes in the Straight Path willing or not willing. And you should not stir up to give it up by creating doubts of various sorts regarding the religion in the hearts of the people.

Satan had undertaken from the beginning to destroy the human being at every cost. The history of humankind is witness that the Devil did not leave it unfinished by trying His best. When and where He got any opportunity, He tried to mislead the innocent mankind from the straight and simple way.

The Devil knows the matters very well, in which areas the good is for mankind. This attempt is easy for Him that somehow He should not let human being do good works. He tries to misguide the people from the straight path towards altogether crooked way always. He knows that goodness of human being is hidden in it that he/she should believe that Allah Almighty is his/her Creator, God and Lord. He/she should recognize the Messengers of God (peace be upon Them) and obey Them and he/she should ensure that: If I shall not obey God’s Messengers, certainly I will be punished at last, due to disobeying the Messengers.

Satan says to the human being: Allah is nothing, everything; which exists; that is; you and your own strength, so, you should stretch out yourself and your strength, as much as it may be possible. Everything for you is; this world. You should not listen to the Messengers (peace be upon Them). They ensnare you in labor; willing or not willing, and prevent you from ease and comfort of the world, and as its retaliation, they promise for the Garden, which has neither been by anyone nor heard.

Whenever any group of the Devil’s disciples holds command of any place, that group runs government according to Satan’s instructions, which is: Keep established authority. Get your words acknowledged by the people. Do neither listen to the Messengers (peace be upon Them) and Their followers, nor let others hear. Compel the people by threat or greed; to obey you.

Lesson # 887 - Wrong not mankind in their goods

Lesson # 887 from the Noble Quran

Wrong not mankind in their goods

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 85b of 206, Section – 11 of 24 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

so give full measure and full weight and wrong not mankind in their goods, and work not confusion in the earth after the fair ordering thereof. That will be better for you, if ye are believers.
Fa-‘awful-kayla  wal-miizaana  wa  laa  tab-khasun-naasa  ‘ash-yaaa-‘ahum  wa  laa  tufsiduu  fil-‘arzi  ba’-da  ‘is-laahihaa.  Zaalikum  khay-rullakum  ‘in  kuntum-Mu’-miniin.

Lesson

It has been mentioned in this verse that, from which wicked deeds, Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) desired to forbid His nation, and which words, He used to cause to understand them for this purpose. The evils, described in the verse, had been in force into the people of Madian.

It is commanded that Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) said to His nation: those things, which you give to other people after taking full payment, if those belong to measurement, you should measure them at full scale, if those are relating to weight, then you should weigh them with full weight. You should not give the commodities of necessities to the people with less than required weight, and while the method of bargaining has been settled and the people began to perform their jobs satisfactorily, then now you should not raise unlawful quarrels by measuring or weighing less than the required quantity and depriving their rights.

You should not consider that if you deprived the right of any feeble person, he will say nothing being a poor, helpless and miserable. The individual, who believes in Allah Almighty, can never think so. He knows that: Allah Almighty is Lord also of that poor, helpless and miserable person as of me. If I shall trouble any junior/inferior person, considering myself senior/superior, God Almighty will punish me in its retribution, because I am going to harm one of His servants without any reason and molesting him.

It seems that during that era, any kind of currency i.e. $, Pd or any kind of coin was not yet introduced or if, there was, then it was not common. Then barter system was in use, that is to say; if anyone had any kind of one commodity, he used to exchange it according to own necessities. Rates of bazaar were fixed that; after giving a certain thing, you can get so and so of own necessity as that quantity. Therefore, seller and purchaser used to give and take by measuring and weighing, keeping account of the rate of their commodities.

In Madian, this selfishness had arisen that the individual, who had commodity of necessity, he used to take the commodity of its actual measure or weight, but he used to give own commodity to the necessitous individual, less in quantity than the market rate. Anyhow, the order for price is the same, whether that is commodity or cash, that, when the price has been taken in full, then the commodity should also be given with full measure or weight.

Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) made this wickedness clear and urged to remove this tendency because at the time of taking anything, taking it at full scale and at the time of giving anything; giving less in weight or measure; is just like depriving the right of any other; and marring the concluded rate of bazaar, which means “working confusion in the earth after the fair ordering thereof.

Lesson # 886 - Inclining towards evil desires

Lesson # 886 from the Noble Quran

Inclining towards evil desires

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 85a of 206, Section – 11 of 24 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And unto Madian (We sent) their brother, Shu-‘aib. He said: O my people! Serve Allah; ye have no other God save Him. Lo! a clear proof hath come unto you from your Lord;
Wa  ‘ilaa  Mad-yana  ‘akhaahum  Shu-‘aybaa.  Qaala  yaaqawmi’-budUllaaha  maa  lakummin  ‘ilaahin  gay-ruh.  Qad  jaaa-‘atkum-Bayyi-natum-mir-Rabbikum.

Lesson

Mad-yana – Some commentators of the religion think that it is name of a place. But maximum commentators say that it is name of an honored person, whose children were called by his name “Madian”, as ‘Aad and Thamud are names of two individuals. Then their all children were famed as ‘Aad and Thamud. Their native land is in the territory of Jordan too.

Shu-‘ayba Shu-‘aib (peace be upon Him) is Prophet of Allah Almighty and from the children of Madian. Therefore, He (peace be upon Him) has been named as brother of Madian. Social evils had been spread publicly into His nation, foundation of which was upon the denial from Oneness of God. He (peace be upon Him) guided His nation to correct their religious tenets.

The same evils had become prevalent in another nation, which was called ‘As-haabul-aikah, (neighboring nation of Madian). Those people were not children of Madian, but partners in evils. So, their Prophet is Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) also. He (peace be upon Him) was famous for His fluency of speech and eloquence. Therefore, He (peace be upon Him) is called “Khatiib-e-‘Anbiaaa’ {Preacher of Prophets (peace be upon Them)}.

It has been described already that the nations of Noah, ‘Aad, Thamud and Lot deserved the wrath of Allah Almighty due to being fallen into adversity of their criminal lifestyle. And because, save some number of individuals, entire people were obstinate on their evil habits, Allah Almighty indicated one force from the system of His servant forces. And that force ruined them.

The nation of Noah (peace be upon Him) was destroyed by the storm of water, ‘Aad by the storm of hurricane, Thamud by earthquake and thunder and the nation of Lot (peace be upon Him) by the pressure of the volcanic materials.

After that, era of Madian nation came, circumstances of which begin from this verse. It is commanded: We sent Shu-aib (peace be upon Him), who was an esteemed person and had relationship with the Madian tribe, by appointing Him Our Prophet, unto His nation to cause to understand them. They had forgotten their Creator, Lord and God; Allah Almighty.

Prophet Shu-aib (peace be upon Him) warned them: O my people! That is only Allah (Eminent, Glorious and Dignified), before Whom, everyone should bow with the humility. None is worthy of worship save Him. Observe Me! You will find such tokens in My character, discourse and walk, which will give evidence that I am true and sincere. Your Lord has sent Me with such Revelations, observing and listening to which, you should not have any doubt in My truth.

Circumstances of which nations are being described, a special kind of evil had become prevalent into everyone of them, but the foundation of all of them was one, that is to say; forgetting Allah Almighty and inclining towards other things. These other things are nothing but own evil desires, which appear in the form of different kinds of wicked deeds.

Lesson # 885 - Allah will save them who do good works

Lesson # 885 from the Noble Quran

Allah will save them who do good works

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
 Stage – 2, Verse – 84 of 206, Section – 10 of 24 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Lesson

Allah Almighty has sent a Straight and Simple Message for the human being by means of His Messengers (peace be upon Them) and Scriptures, for understanding of which, the human sense is quite sufficient, which He has bestowed Himself to every mankind. Messengers of Allah Almighty (peace be upon Them) and His Holy Books explained before us that; this Plant of the Universe; which is before you, Allah Almighty has created it with His Omnipotence and its entire administration is also in His Control. Everything of the universe is running according to prescribed system of God Almighty, whether that is earthly or heavenly. And nothing can go up or down, right or left, hither or thither from that way, which has He determined for everything. Every power and force is under His rule and works as He commands.

Countless forces have been performing their duties around, beneath and above the earth, and revolutionary changes take place in the earth by means of them. Hot and cold, day and night, superficial changes, becoming of water dry and dryness as water, rain, dust storms, earthquakes etc. the whole are blandishments of these forces. These all are included in the formation of the earth. Reasons of their happening spring up, whenever God Almighty commands. Until it is confirmed by Him, these forces will be working. Till when the earth is to remain, no force can exceed its limit. When it will be approved by Allah Almighty to abolish it, then these forces will show their thrust overly and the earth will be destroyed and ruined.

After creating the humankind, Allah Almighty commanded to live in these environments and said: These whole powers and forces, which you observe, are in My Control. You have to live for some days in the condition of pulling and taking away by these forces. Until you live here, dwell, but according to My Instructions, which are delivered to you by means of My Messengers (peace be upon Them). You have to leave this place at last one day, and then your superior life will begin. That individual, who would have passed own life in accordance with My Guidance, tranquility and repose will be in his/her luck only during the next life. Satan is your deadly foe in this world. He will seduce you and try his best as much as it will be possible for him that you should not adopt that Path, which I have determined for you.

If you gave up My prescribed Straight Path, it will be cause of My anger. You all should become one nation all together and hold fast the Path of Allah Almighty, and prevent everyone with your collective strength from going (astray) out from this Path. If you entire people would be corrupted, then I shall destroy you in this world by means of any disaster, earthquake, dust/rain storm or volcanic materials, as I have ruined many nations before you.

My Messengers (peace be upon Them) have told you the stories (of ancient people) by means of My Scriptures. Take those facts as warning. It is My Rule that until sufficient people will continue to tell My Commands in any nation, I shall not send down any common disaster due to their blessing. But if they remained only a few, then I shall save them and destroy remaining all other people. The torment of after death is a separate.

Lesson # 884 - O God! Save me from the evil of the self

Lesson # 884 from the Noble Quran

O God! Save me from the evil of the self

Surah ‘A’-RAAF (The Heights) – Chapter – 7)
Stage – 2, Verse – 84 of 206, Section – 10 of 24 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And We rained a rain upon them. So, see now the nature of the consequence of evildoers!
Wa  ‘amtarNaa  ‘alay-him-mataraa.  Fanzur  kayfa  kaana  ‘aa-qibatul-mujrimiin.

Lesson

It has been mentioned earlier that the people of Sodom and its outskirts had been involved in a very bad and disgusting habit (carnal copulation against nature). Allah Almighty chose His Prophet Lot (peace be upon Him) and sent Him unto those people to cause to know them. He (peace be upon Him) explained about the evils of their obscene act.

It seems that they had understood it that really, it was a dirty and defiled act, and its consequence is not other than a ruin. But instead of being abashed due to this unchaste act, a stubborn arose in their hearts. It was required that they were ashamed on their vicious act after understanding. But instead, it happened that they began to blush that another person was going to admonish them about the badness of their act, as though, their comprehension was less than Him. They thought: We had to give up this evil at our own with our pleasure. Now we shall never leave it.

This is the devilish trick, with which Satan has obstructed and is baring many servants of God Almighty from the Straight Path, and deprives them entirely from the special advice of the Messengers of Allah Almighty (peace be upon Them). This perversion arises in their hearts that: Who is this person, preventing us from our deed?

The nation of Noah (peace be upon Him) was crazed in the same way and they drowned. The tribe of ‘Aad was killed in the same mania. The people of Thamud ruined themselves with their same thought. This is the swagger due to which, improper stubbornness arises. Human being accepts his death, but does not wish to see any other greater, a little, than him, and coming into stubbornness, commits forbidden deeds immediately and forcibly. Although, he knows that it will destroy him. It is called the evil of the self. Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) has taught us this prayer: Allaahumma  ‘a-‘iznii  min  sharrin-nafsii. (O God! Save me from the evil of the self). Result of those perverse and obstinate people has been described in this verse.

It is commanded: We rained a rain (of stones) upon them. After that, you saw the nature of consequence of evildoers. Powers of the earth and the heavens are in the control and omnipotence of Allah Almighty. Perhaps it would have been the form; as volcanic materials kept being split. Volcanic materials of brimstone might be beneath that storey of the land. Those materials of sulphur ran over with full force and frittered away that part of the land, where those disobedient people lived. They fell down into that abyss, which was produced due to flying of that particular part of the earth, and the stones etc. had been falling upon them. Allah Almighty keep us protected from His wrath.
