Lesson # 779 - It is abomination to eat the unlawfully slaughtered animal

Lesson # 779 From the Noble Quran

It is abomination to eat unlawfully slaughtered animal

 Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage - 2

Verse –121 of 165, Section – 14 of 20 (Part - 8)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

And eat not of that whereon Allah’s name hath not been mentioned, for lo! it is abomination. And lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with you. And if ye obey them, ye will be in truth as idolaters.
Wa  laa  ta’-kuluu  mimmaa  lam  yuz-karis-mUllaahi  ‘alayhi  wa  ‘innahuu  la-fisq.  Wa  ‘innash-sha-yaatiina  la-yuu-huuna  ‘ilaaa  ‘awli-yaaa-‘ihim  li-yujaaa-diluukum.  Wa  ‘in  ‘ata’-tumuuhum  ‘innakum  la-mush-rikuun.

Lesson

Fisq – (disobedience, to do against the religious law, abomination, extremely hatred, loathsome), the person who commits such deeds, is called Faasiq – the word Faajir has also the same meaning, which has been derived from fajuur. Fajuur means “to cross the limit violently, to dissipate”.  Here fisq means “eating such thing is against the Divine Way of Religion”.

Li-yujaaa-diluukum – (so that, they dispute with you), the origin of this word is mujaadilah and jidaal, which means “to dispute”. Actually this word is yujaaa-diluun, however, the alphabet letter “n” has been removed due to the letter “l” which has come before “n”.
‘Awli-yaaa-‘a – is plural of Walii. Walii means – friend, close relative and companion.

It has been described in the previous verses that only that thing is lawful for food, which has been permitted in the Holy Qur’an for eating. You should not care about the people, whether they falsify the commands of Holy Qur’an as much as they wish. Think neither about their false assertion and nor act upon their sayings lest (God forbid) doubt is born in your heart from the Holy Qur’an. You should eat fearless and unhesitatingly, the meat of that lawful animal over which the name of Allah has been mentioned at the time of its slaughter, but eat never the meat of that animal, which has died it-self without slaughtering whereon the name of Allah Almighty. This verse explains about the same matter too.

It is commanded that the slaughtered animal over which the name of any other than Allah Almighty has been mentioned at the time of its slaughtering, eating its meat is unlawful and abomination. Otherwise, if you will eat it, you will be certainly a sinner, because it will be against the Law of the Religion.

The devils used to instruct to their disciples and followers that they should carry on absurd reasoning with the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). Their main aim is that somehow You may not abide by the Divine Law of the Religion. What will be the difference among you and the idolaters, if you obeyed them?

The idolaters do the same also, that is to say; neither they believe in Allah Almighty as it is necessary to be believed and nor they care about His Commands. They find faults in it at their own as it has been described earlier.

It is known from this verse that accepting the arbitration of any other person against the decision of Allah Almighty is also as having belief in a plurality of God Almighty. However, if that is not against the commands of Holy Qur’an, then there is no objection. That person, who has any kind of faith against the commands of Holy Qur’an, is included among the idolaters, according to this verse.
