Quran Chapter 13  19 & 20 (Pt-13, Stg-3) (L-1580) - درس قرآن

A seer and a blind cannot be equal

Surah Ra-‘d (The Thunder) - 13

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

19.  Is he who knoweth that what is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth like him who is blind? But only men of understanding heed-

20.  Such as keep the pact of Allah, and break not the covenant-
19.  ‘Afa-manyya’-lamu  ‘anna-maaa  ‘unzila  ‘ilay-ka  mir-Rabbikal-Haqqu  Kaman  huwa  ‘a’-maa.  ‘Innamaa  yata-zakka-ru  ‘ulul-‘albaab.

20.  ‘Allaziina  yuufuuna  bi-‘Ah-Dillaahi  wa  laa  yanqu-zuu-nal-Miisaaq.

Commentary

It has been caused to understand in this verse: You know well that the person who can see everything and the person can see nothing; cannot be equal. There is a person who has seen clearly the Truth of Holy Qur’aan, and he understood that verily this Holy Qur’aan, which has been revealed on the last Messenger; Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) by the Lord of the Worlds, is the Truth. Can he be considered like him whose eyes have been overturned and who is unable to see anything?

It is obvious that first person used his sense properly as it was required to be used. As a matter of fact, those people reach the depth of any matter who use their sense correctly and do not put it entangled in useless matters. These are the people who heed that: it is their human duty that they should fulfill their covenant, which they have made with Allah Almighty, and unto which His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and His Scripture has been drawing attention.

When once such people understand the actual matter, then neither they oppose this matter and nor break their covenant. Obviously, these both kinds of groups cannot be treated equally.
