How to pass a successful life

Suratun-Nahl - (The Bee) - 16

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآئِ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْبَغْىِ يَعِظُكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ 90

If the mankind desires to pass a successful life in the world in all respect then he should keep this very small verse in mind every time and follow sincerely the commands mentioned in it. First thing which we can know from it is that the actual life is a collective life. Betterment of every individual is in it that the entire people should try their best to manage the collective life. If there were only one mankind in the world, his existence would be very difficult. Even then if he had lived, then he would be in worst condition, because his life would pass in fighting against wild animals.

It is easy for a wise person to understand that this world is like an amphitheater, in which different forces have been dashing together every time. Some are such forces which want to keep it continued as it is, but some are those which have been trying to ruin it. In mankind himself; both kinds of forces exist. So his individual and collective, both kinds of life depend on it that “the ruining forces should not overcome on the maintaining forces”. Whenever any force begins to overstep bounds, it should be pressed down, so that the side of maintaining force may remain weighty. Keeping up this balance is called justice. And the duty of every individual is to preserve it.

Moreover, first duty of the aggregate people or society and their established government is the same. By justice, human life will be established certainly, but the work of bringing it at good condition and its development is still pending, which can be done by kindness. Aim from kindness is that every individual, society and government should perform their duties honestly and sincerely, and every one of them should be present to help others with available resources, so that the door of the third thing i.e. justice and liberality is opened. The government should take useful things from the givers and distribute them among the needy people.

Besides this, there are three such things which will create a mischief in the collective life surely. The society and the government should prevent every individual from those things. One of them is obscene and immodesty, that is to say, adopting fearlessly and openly such things which excite evil wishes. Second thing is “Leaving good works and choosing wickedness. Third thing is “Using own power in causing trouble for others and seizing them unreasonably. Extirpating these evils is the first responsibility of human society and the government.
