Quran Chapter 17  80 & 81 (Pt-15, Stg-4) (L-1835) درس قرآن

A sustaining power

Surah Baniii ‘Israaa-‘iil (The Children of Israel) – 17

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِى مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِى مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍوَٱجْعَل لِّى مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَٰنًا نَّصِيرًا 80

وَقُلْ جَآءَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ ٱلْبَٰطِلُ إِنَّ ٱلْبَٰطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا 81

80.  And say: My Lord! Cause me to come in with a firm incoming and to go out with a firm outgoing and give me from Thy Presence a sustaining Power.

81.  And say: Truth hath come and Falsehood hath vanished away. Lo! Falsehood is ever bound to vanish.
80.  Wa  qur-Rabbi  ‘adkhil-nii  Mudkhala  Sidqinw-wa  ‘akhrijnii  Mukhraja  Sidqinw-waj-‘al-lii  mil-ladunKa  sultaanan-nasiiraa.

81.  Wa  qul  jaaa-‘al-Haqqu  wa  zahaqal- Baatil.  ‘Innal- Baatila  Kaana  zahuuqaa.

Commentary

Mudkhala and Mukhraja – both words have come out from ‘idkhaal (to cause to come in) and ‘ikhraaj (to cause to go out), which are active verbs from the words – dakhuul (entrance, admission) and khuruuj (egress, issue).

Sidqin – (firm, steady, constant, honor), its meaning has been explained in the beginning of Surah Yuunus (Chapter 10).

In the Truth, these both matters exist i.e. Mudkhala  Sidqin (a firm incoming, in which there is respect and honor) and Mukhraja  Sidqin (a firm outgoing, in which there is no disgrace).

Sultaanun – (Power, superiority, authority), meaning of this word has been explained in the fourth Section of the same Chapter.

Zahaqa – (vanished away), it is a past tense from the word zahaqun, which means “to vanish away, to disappear and to be lazy). The word zahuuqun is an adjective also from the same, which means “to come to an end gradually being weak”.

It is commanded to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) that he should say: My Lord! In which place or work You cause me to come, admit me with perseverance, respect and honor, and whence You cause me to go out, cause to release me from that work or place without disgrace, and give me as much sustaining power; by which I may gain my end.

Therefore, Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) went from Makkah firmly and satisfactorily; and entered in Madinah as a great respectable and honorable person. Then He obtained the mastery over his enemies. His Government was established and he got opportunity of announcing these words successfully: Truth hath come and Falsehood hath vanished away. Lo! Falsehood is ever bound to vanish.

Those entire sayings were fulfilled which were proclaimed at that time when no one could think that it might be. It is the strongest Proof of Holy Qur’an’s Truth.
