Allah guides unto His Light

Chapter “Nuur” – (Light) - 24

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

                                                           

ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٰةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍزَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ 35  

35b.  whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon Light. Allah guideth unto His Light whom He will. And Allah setteth forth for mankind similitudes. And Allah is Knower of all things -

35b.  yakaadu  Zaytuhaa  yuziii-‘u  wa  law  lam  tamsas-hu  naar.  Nuurun  ‘alaa  Nuur.  YahDillaahu  li-NuuriHii  many-yashaaa’.  Wa  yazribUllaahul-‘amsaala  linnaas.  Wallaahu  bi-kulli  shay-‘in  ‘Aliim.

Commentary

                                          

Which oil is gotten from this tree of olive, is so much clean and transparent that it seems as it will begin to shine up itself and there will be no need of any Lucifer for kindling it. It is obvious that when Lucifer will be given to the lamp of such oil, that will be illuminated more than normal, and its light will increase upon the light.

Like this, the Light of Allaah Almighty has been spreading all over the world. Everything is brilliant with His Light. But on the heart of the mankind, darkness and duskiness of evil desires and sins have been spreading as much that he is unable to attain this Light. Allaah Almighty guides by His Grace unto His Light whom He wills. He is fully Aware of the condition of every individual and knows the talents of all people.  

Similitudes have been described in Holy Qur’an for causing to understand the human beings about the state of His Light, so that the person, who has sense, may understand it that the mankind himself is a pattern of the entire world. As the Light of Allaah Almighty has been spreading in the entire world, like this, into the mankind also; His Light has been filled.

Body of every mankind is as a niche wherein there is a bright lamp of the Light of Allaah Almighty. If that lamp is shown swift Light of Holy Qur’an then nowhere is the example of that Light. The same Light has been shown to the mankind by the last Messenger of Allaah Almighty; Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him).
