Lesson

In the previous verse, the Muslims were caused to understand “how to make different parties of suitable people for every work separately”. In this verse, scheme of fighting and making the enemies helpless has been explained, because this work also had fallen suddenly upon the Muslims forcibly.

The world taught them (the Muslims) that there is no other way but the last opportunity - war against refractory people to seize them. It is compulsory for individual and collective development of the human being that bestial manners should be kept under the control of human attributes and should be brought into use as and when required according to necessity.

But prevalence of the bestial wishes prevented the Idolaters, at that time, from understanding that; not only this; but they desired to amputate beast-like to the Muslims in to pieces, and considered that they would crush the Believers with their physical and collective power.

At last, the Muslims were informed that even the human beasts of prey can be overwhelmed also with power. In the beginning, they were compelled collectively to fight the Infidels to break their strength. But when they observed that after starting the war, it becomes difficult to stop it, then they had to fix the war-laws under compulsion. And according to those laws, fighting like beasts was against the humanity.

It has been commanded in this verse that Allah Almighty helps those who obey Him and fear from His anger. You should fight enemies bearing this command in mind. Every city of the Muslims should keep the enemies, near to them, under their influence and demonstrate before them of power. So that, they refrain from wickedness and understand that “Being only beast-like will not be useful. Being human is also a necessary thing. Attempt to press others by physical and material force is just like ruin of humanity.

They should understand it well that the Muslims support peace and safety for all. They will never precede from their side for fighting. However, if someone will try to overpower them with tyranny and forcibly, then they will subdue their enemy by the order of their Lord, Allah Almighty. And until he does not correct himself, they will not release him.
