Chapter “’Ambiyaaa’”
– (The Prophets) - 21
‘A-‘uu-zu
Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast.)

In this verse, the way of politics concerning the world has been
explained before the People of Islam in a strange style. Therefore, first duty
of the Muslims is to spread the correct style of politics and government in the
world according to the instructions of Holy Qur’an, because till the
time, the correct politics is not established; trying to guide the people unto
those objects which are higher than it; is nearly useless. It is as “to keep
the cart before the horse”.
Declaration of believing the Unity of Deity, abstinence from
infidelity and belief in a plurality of God, having faith in the Messenger-hood,
belief in the Day of Resurrection; reckoning of deeds and belief in reward and
punishment, are the matters of arranging for the next life. And the best of it
is that this world also is arranged in fact by these matters. But producing
them before the people of the world cannot be useful according to requirement
till the time; at first; an opportunity is not provided to them to observe that
“worldly wellbeing of the mankind depends on believing in only these matters”. On
this account, duty of preaching can be performed completely at the very time
when first of all the Muslims will produce correct way of politics before the
world and prove that really the Believers of these all matters are most capable
of organizing the world correctly and establishing a peaceful life. If they did
not do so, then its result would be that maximum people will ignore Islam instead
of inclining unto it. Moreover, the enemies of Islam will use the political
failure of Muslims as a weapon against Islam.
It appears from old historical incidents that the Muslims
mistook here and stumbled as seriously that they fell down. They considered
that purpose of Islam is to seize the people by military forces, whereas Sacred
Book of Islam teaches them that Justice and Equity should be Central Fort of
Islam and they should expose before the entire world that peace and safety can
be established in the world by Justice only.
In Holy Qur’an, the word ‘Adl (Justice and Equity)
has been manifested at various places by the words “Mizaan (A Balance), Mustaqiim
(Right, Straight and Faithful) etc. And for proving its importance, it has been
taken as equal of the Scripture. It has been commanded in Suratul-Hadiid
(57: 25): “We verily sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with
them the Scripture and the Balance, that mankind may observe right measure”.
We, the Muslims, should think now that whether we established the Justice and
Equity in the world or otherwise?
