Commentary

Attention of mankind has been drawn in this verse towards the universe around him, by looking which, first question arises that Who created this all? Lo! Hear from Us (Allah Almighty): We are Creator of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever exists into them. All existing things have been working properly at own places under a strong and established arrangement. Nothing can be equal to Allah Almighty. He is the Highest and Exalted in all respect. Human beings are also His creature, origin of whom is a drop of fluid, which is called Semen. It has no power. Allah Almighty brought it up and promoted as much that it began to talk fluently, even that it began to find faults, make excuses, raise objections and deceive others. It became as much arrogant upon his power and strength that forgot own Creator and Lord.

And when Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) reminded him that these entire powers have been given by Allah Almighty, therefore, he should bow before Him. Then he began to produce absurd reasoning and say: I am not necessitous of Allah (God forbid), I myself can do everything. But it is his vain imaginations. No one has any power before Allah Almighty.
