Quran Chapter 10-107a (Pt-11, Stg-3) (L-1338) - درس قرآن

If Allah desires good for you; none can repel it

Surah Younus (Jonah) (peace be upon him)

BisMillaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

107a.  And if Allah afflicteth thee with some hurt, there is none who can remove it save Him; and if He desireth good for thee, there is none who can repel His Bounty.
107a.  Wa  ‘inyyam-sas-kAllaahu  bi-zurrin-  falaa  kaashifa  lahuuu  ‘illaa  Huu.  Wa  ‘inyyu-ridka  bi-khay-rin  falaa  raaadda  li-FazliH.

Commentary

It is commanded: As it is correct that there is none beside Allah Almighty who can profit and provide you comfort, and there is none beside Him who can hurt and give you pain. Likewise, it is true also that if someone suffered pain or loss by the command of Allah Almighty, then there is none who may remove it, because you have been given pain or loss by His order, and it will be removed also by His command only. And if it is His decision that such a one will be profited or comfort will be provided to so and so, then there is none who can stop it. Certainly he will be provided comfort and advantage.

While there is none who may profit save Allah Almighty; and there is none who may block the gain; which He desires to provide, then what is the benefit of asking anything from any person? When suffering, disease or loss (everything) is by His command, then thinking about any individual except Him that he will remove the distress, is a tyranny plainly.

The aim of causing to know from this verse of Holy Qur’aan and many other verses like this; is that; profit or loss is from Allah Almighty, success and failure is by His command, cure and illness is in His Hand. Therefore, if followers of Islam are desirous to save their Belief; then they should have faith in it, and through worship and prayer, they should make their Belief strong continually that without the Command of Allah Almighty, there is none who can profit, hurt or give pain to any person. If apparently, we plan to get treatment medically etc., then it is also a kind of prayer that: Our Lord! Give us success.
