Commentary

Sakh-khara – {to be of service, made of service (unto you), employed for (your) service}, this word has been used in these verses again and again, so that the mankind should understand that these entire things have been appointed for his service, and at the Command of Allah Almighty, these have been providing benefits in accordance with their prescribed rules.

Daaa-‘i-bayni – (constant in their courses), this word is plural of the subject “daaa-‘i-bun”. Origin of this word is da-‘a-ba. Da-‘a-ba means “to work always constantly, according to own habit and maxim”. This word has passed in Surah ‘Aali-‘Imraan and Suratul-‘Anfaal.

With effect from the time, the human beings have settled on the earth, comforting things are being provided to them continuously. Rain, sunshine, moonlight, night and day etc. all have been profiting them. By means of these entire, grains, fruits and vegetables etc. have been growing from the land. By raining, rivers and canals began to flow on the earth. Then the mankind began to row ships and boats into seas and rivers.

Holy Qur’aan causes to draw attention of the mankind towards these favors everywhere and commands: Reap advantage from these things, but you should know also the Creator of the rules of physiology and physical things. And you should believe that He (Allah Almighty) is the Creator of the entire universe and Lord of the worlds. If you did not do so, then your sense would cause to drown you and there would be none to save you.
