God’s is the Sublime Similitude

Suratun-Nahl - (The Bee) - 16

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

60.  For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and Allah’s is the Sublime Similitude. And He is the Mighty, the Wise.
60.  Lillaziina  laa  yu’-minuuna  bil-‘Aakhirati  masa-lus-saw’.  Wa  Lillaahil-Masalul-‘A’-laa.  Wa   Huwal-‘Aziizul-Hakiim.

Commentary

Circumstances of which the Idolaters have been mentioned in these verses, their summary is that they are thankless to their Lord and disobedient servants of Allah Almighty; Who is The Real Benefactor. They can never be out of His Control and they know it well. Therefore, during misfortune, they cry for help unto Him. But when the misfortune is removed, they forget Him and begin to draw a part of God’s given stores for idols’ offering and sacrificing.

Secondly, those people are selfish. They wish to keep good things for themselves and spend defective things in the name of Allah Almighty. Similitude of it is that they say that the Angels are His daughters. Whereas if any daughter is born at their home, then they consider that she is base of disgrace. This description of their qualities is their wordy picture and from it, this image of them comes into mind. Disobedient slave is entirely selfish who considers that (God forbid) his Lord is very simple and innocent.

Root cause of their depravity is that they do not believe in the Hereafter. After hearing the circumstances of such people, nothing comes in the mind but their wickedness. This image shows their mere badness, because they do not have good qualities which may be mentioned. You should reflect in the Attributes of Allah Almighty contrary to it. From Them, it is proved that He is the Greatest and Most Magnificent. This concept comes in mind about Him that He is The Most Powerful and Aware of the entire realities.
