Those who will be forgotten on Doomsday

Chapter TAA-HAA – Surah – 20)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim. 
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

     

 قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَاوَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ 126

 وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ 127

126.  He will say: So (it must be); Our Revelations came unto thee but thou didst forget them. In like manner thou art forgotten this Day. 127a.  And thus do We reward him who is prodigal and believeth not the Revelations of his Lord;

126.  Qaala  kazaalika  ‘atatka  ‘AayaatuNaa  fa-nasiitahaa.  Wa  kazaa-likal-yawma  tunsaa. 127a.  Wa  kazaalika  Najzii  man  ‘asrafa  wa  lam  yu’-mim-  bi-‘Aayaati-  Rabbih.

Commentary

In the world, when those people who disbelieve in Allaah Almighty or who are careless from His side, will be brought blind to life again after death, then they will not be able to see anything, because the eyes are useless without the light. And the light of that place can be acquired only by having belief in Allaah Almighty. They do not have belief, so they do not have light. When they will say being astonished: What has happened with our eyes that we see nothing? Then they will be replied as it has been described in this verse.

It is command that Allaah Almighty will say to those blind people: Your eyes are unable to see Today because you did not collect the things of light for them during your worldly life. Your eyes have become blind because you forgot Our Revelations which We had sent in the world for your guidance. In like manner, you will also be forgotten Today (the Day of Resurrection). Those Revelations were Things of Light for This Place. It is the result of your own negligence that Today; you are blind; although you have eyes. It is the fixed punishment of those who were careless from Our Revelations in the world and who transgressed by breaking Our Rules and Regulations, that they are deprived of the facilities of the Day of Resurrection.

They will be entangled in pain and distress on That Day who will not believe in the Revelations of Allaah Almighty in the world. There will be nothing for them save sufferings and difficulties.
