Commentary

Those people who were eye-witnesses of the circumstances of the Messenger of Allah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him), have described correctly about His living conditions with effect from His birth to death. None of them has told that He (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) has learnt anything; any time from any learned person. When He (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) caused to hear the Qur’aan to those people, they were astonished.

After listening to this Word; they cried out spontaneously: We did never hear the Word like unto this in Arabic language. Therefore the wise people decided that any mankind cannot fabricate such Word. They admitted that Muhammad is Prophet and Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him), and intended to act upon the Commandments of this Word (Holy Qur’aan) wholeheartedly.

Some people saw that there was no doubt in usefulness and matchlessness of the Word, but if they would have accepted it, their fabricated houses would be spoiled. So they began to seek pretences for admitting not the truth. When they could not find any cause then they gripped up their loins to tell a lie and said: what is the aim of God that He sent His Word; by means of such Person Who neither have riches and property, nor any country and kingship. It is sure that He (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him) is desirous of honor and wants to heap up wealth, so He has fabricated some composition by arranging a speech.

Therefore, it is being commanded in this verse: You are not ashamed. If any human being can fabricate such Word; then you should forge any one Surah like this. We make it easy for you that you can call on such learned person whom you consider fit for your help. You can call; not only one person; but as much people as you wish for help in this matter. Collect them and try your best, otherwise you should accept that you are totally liars.
