Commentary

Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) came in the world and caused to hear the people by reciting the Word of Allah Almighty that is to say Holy Qur’aan. In reality; they were aware of the name of Allah (Great is His Glory) from the beginning, and they used to regard and value It, but only as much, how much it can be of a big leader of demi-gods (partly divine beings). They could not understand that they should give up using everything with own will which they had i.e. their wealth, power and influence etc. and give their entire matters and strength under the control and will of Allah Almighty. And they should not say even a word without His Command.

He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) caused to know them: Behold! The commandments of Holy Qur’aan are eternal. That shall be certainly; what is written in It. Suppose! If you have everything at this time, but there is no foundation of it. If you demised today; tomorrow would be second day. Everything will remain here and after death; the mankind will be entangled in a severe distress.

They did not understand this exhortation and began to talk abusive language. Certainly; the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) felt grief due to their such behavior. He was very sorrowful.

In this verse, He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) has been consoled: you should not be grieved from nonsense speech of those ignorant people. There is nothing in it. In truth, everything like force, might, honor, dignity and splendor etc. is with Allah (Glory be to Him). He has been hearing all speeches of the ignorant; and is Aware of the reality of everything. He will decide at proper time. When He will settle the cases of all people; they will confuse. But knowing at that time will not be useful for them. This is the time of understanding. Beware! No decision finalized by any other; is acceptable to Allah. Everything in the heavens and in the earth is of Him only.
