God knows better about tarrying period of the Cave

Chapter Kahf (The Cave) – 18

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

25.  And (it is said) they tarried in their Cave three hundred years and add nine.

26.  Say: Allah is Best Aware how long they tarried. His is the Invisible of the heavens and the earth. How clear of sight is He and keen of hearing! They have no protecting friend beside Him, and He maketh none to share in His Command.
25.  Wa  labisuu  fii  Kahfihim  salaasa  mi-‘atin  siniina  waz-daaduu  tis-‘aa.

26.  QuLillaahu  ‘a’-lamu  bimaa  labisuu.  Lahuu  Gaybus-samaa-waati  wal-‘arz.  ‘Absir  biHii  wa  ‘asmi’.  Maa  lahum-min  duuniHii  minw-waliyy.  Wa  laa  yushriku  fii  HukmiHiii  ‘ahadaa.

Commentary

‘Absir  biHii  wa  ‘asmi’ – (How clear of sight is He and keen of hearing!).

It should be understood carefully that Allah Almighty is not bound of any place or time. His Nature is most High from such restrictions. It is commanded that the Companions tarried in the Cave three hundred and nine years, and then when they waked, they considered that they had been tarrying there for one day or less than it. Out side the Cave, the world had been changed. Neither the people were of their times and nor the kingdom was that; from the fear of whose king they had deserted.

Now the people guess at random about their tarrying period in the Cave. You {O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)} should say to them: Allah Almighty is Best Aware of these matters. Only He knows well the secrets of the heavens and the earth. Neither have any other; power of looking like Him and nor can hear equal to Him. If any person begin to conjecture concerning His Powers, he will inherit nothing but astonishment.

Only it is sufficient to know that there is neither any protecting friend of the mankind and nor supporter save Allah Almighty. Those people who consider that someone else is their protecting friend; they will come to know very soon that they were at wrong. Like this, God Almighty does neither make any person or thing to share in His Command and nor He asks any other’s advice or opinion in the works of His Management.
