Commentary
Majma-‘al-bahrayni – (the
point where the two rivers meet), it aims “that place where two Seas have come
close to each other, whether between them; a little dry space has been remained
or otherwise”. Such place exists in between the counties of Egypt and Syria, on
one side of which; there is “the Red Sea” and on the other side is “Small Sea
of Rome”. And since that this place is near the native land of Prophet Moses
(peace be upon him), therefore majority of the commentators inferred the same
place. Nowadays, these both Seas have been brought together by digging “the
Suez Canal”.
Huquba – it aims “a period of eighty years”.
Its plural is “‘ahqaab”.
Sarabun – it means “flowing
of water, to rush into anything like water, to march silently”.
The Religion depends on it that one
should surrender and bow before Allah Almighty and should never speak the words
of own vaunting. Sometimes, it becomes source of teaching to the mankind about
manners that according to the Philosophy of Allah Almighty, any error or
omission occurs by the Prophet (peace be upon him), which does not happen intentionally,
but it happens under the Policy of Allah Almighty. And then the Prophet (peace
be upon him) is informed by means of the Divine Inspiration. He (peace be upon
him) is guided for escaping from it, so that for the human being, a perpetual,
moral Law may be introduced.
In this verse, an incident has been
described which happened upon the Messenger Moses (peace be upon him), and it
became foundation of religious and moral Law of the mankind for always.
