Commentary

Yaa-Siiin – These words are from the Muqatt-‘aat (Solemn) letters of alphabet, meanings of which are not known clearly. These Muqatt-‘aat letters of alphabet have come before many of the Chapters of Holy Qur’an as – ‘Alif-Laaam-Miiim etc.

Hakiimun – (full of Wisdom, the Wise), here it aims “Such Thing which describes concerning thoughtful, firm and strong matters”. Every Commandment of Holy Qur’an is firm and mature.

It is commanded: Pay your attention to Holy Qur’an. Its every verse is quite true, clear and depends on reality entirely. It is not a Collection of conjectural things; origin of which may be on whim or probability. There is no doubt in its discourses.

After that, although the Messenger has been addressed in this verse, but it is required to be explained before all intelligent people that “Can any individual have any doubt after reciting and listening to Holy Qur’an that the Person who has been reciting it before them, is really the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him), who did neither join any School and nor was he taught in any Academy?

It is obvious that he himself (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) cannot make such Scripture, in making and producing equal of which, all learned and prudent persons of the world have become helpless. Hence O sensible people! Believe it that Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) is the last one Messenger of those Prophets (peace be upon them) who brought from Allaah Almighty; the Message for mankind’s Guidance. Certainly he (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) has been going on the Path which leads to actual success and required destination. That person does never go astray but reaches the correct destination who follows him (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him), the Guide of all the mankind.

Note: The aim from taking an oath of anything in Holy Qur’an is to draw attention towards the thing coming next, because one can understand clearly the matter being described after it, by meditating.
