Qur’an addresses to the Children of
Israel
Chapter “Naml”- (The Ant) - 27
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

وَمَا مِنْ غَآئِبَةٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ 75 إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَكْثَرَ ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ 76 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 77

75. And there is
nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Book.
76. Lo! this Qur’an
narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they
differ.
77. And lo! it is a
Guidance and a Mercy for Believers.

75. Wa maa
min gaaa-‘ibatin fis-samaaa-‘i wal-‘arzi
‘illaa fii Kitaabim-mubiin.
76. ‘Inna haazal-Qur-‘aana yaqussu
‘alaa Baniii- ‘Israaa-‘iila ‘aksarallazii hum
fiihi yakhtalifuun.
77. Wa ‘innahuu
la-Hudanw-wa
Rahmatul-lil-Mu’-miniin.

Commentary
Kitaabum-mubiinun – (a clear Register, Luminous
Book), often this word has been used for “Lawhi Mahfuuz” (A Table on
which the destinies of the world since its creation and till its end are
written).
It was previously commanded: Certainly they will be punished due
to their evil deeds, and there is no wonder in it that some punishment may be
given to them in this world. Allaah Almighty is not only Aware of their
apparent deeds but He knows also their all secrets and mischief hidden in their
hearts.
It has been commanded in this verse: Not only their entire
deeds, but everything of the world, whether that is big or little, open or
hidden, and whether that is in the heaven or in the earth, and what happened or
what will happen, has been recorded and exists one by one as it is or as it
will be, in the Luminous Book. When the time of any matter’s happening will
come, will become manifest, whether you hasten or be silent. And that will be
recorded as in fact what you will do. And the result of your every deed will
come before you as it would be. Information concerning such entire matters has
been given in this Qur’an, knowing of which is unavoidable for the
mankind.
Before this, the Children of Israel were also informed by means
of Torah concerning the circumstances and the news according to that time. But
they forgot most of the commandments mentioned in Torah and set up their own
judgments about them and began to quarrel together. The same matters have been
described again in Holy Qur’an clearly, so that they may finish their
disputes and adopt the way as guided by Holy Qur’an. It depends upon
them whether they do or deny. However, Holy Qur’an is a Guidance and a
source of Mercy for those who believe in it, and they will reap advantages
always from it.
