Purpose of
describing the Story of Moses
Chapter “Qasas”- (The Story) - 28
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
Purpose of describing The Story of Moses (peace be upon him) is
to console the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and
his Believers; and make them to understand that Allaah Almighty Himself
saves His Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) and ultimately their
enemies are disgraced and ruined. Schemes of enemies cannot run before the
Plans of Allaah Almighty and certainly that happens which He desires.
Besides this, in the contents of the Story, there are many such matters which
are being taught to the Muslims and it is incumbent for them to meditate into
them at the time of hearing. Moses (peace be upon him) was brought up and
trained by two esteemed and well-wisher women. First was mother of Moses (peace
be upon him) and the second – Asia (wife of Pharaoh). They both produced such
environments simultaneously; by which natural virtues may develop freely. They
both arranged together for his requirements of life satisfactorily and provided
him opportunities that he (peace be upon him) may perfect his virtues and
capabilities by means of examining and experience, and learn the principles of
passing a chaste life in the world. Observing the incidents independently under
the supervision of elders and drawing conclusions by oneself is the basic
premise of a child’s training. And it can be the summary of the education,
nothing else.
Moses (peace be upon him) concluded by examining his
environments that one part of the population has kept the other part pressed.
One part from them is oppressor and the other is oppressed. It was the
influence of the good-will of those who were watching (mother of Moses and wife
of Pharaoh) that his (peace be upon him) energies were accomplished by means of
correct practice; instead of being lost in useless engagements.
It was the result that when Moses (peace be upon him) became
mature, then his physical, mental and cordial energies were manifested in the
field of practice with the required ratio and balance. For teaching him to work
together, first stage was dispute between the two (Israeli and Qabtii)
persons. Generally, Moses (peace be upon him) had determined that Qabtii
people were oppressors. Therefore, for causing to understand, he went forth
toward the Qabtii, but he was killed suddenly by his fist. It was excess
of his physical strength. He repented immediately and resolved that in future
he would never make haste in settlement of any case. The incidents happened
after that; became source of his special education, which was required for
appointing him as a Messenger (peace be upon him). We found out following
results from above mentioned discussion:
1.
Caring and producing
opportunities of observing the environments is best source of children’s
training. By watching, their energies will be saved from destruction. From
environments they will draw conclusions themselves by means of observation.
2.
One should repent
immediately whenever he errs. He should not spend his natural energies in
helping the wrongdoers and sinners. Which powers have been bestowed to a
mankind, are given for helping the good people and spreading goodness in the
world.
