Commentary

Generally in the Commandments of Holy Qur’an, the men are addressed - to correct their manners, adopt good habits, reward of good deeds and punishment of wicked deeds. Some women asked from the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): While, only the men have been addressed in all commandments of Holy Qur’an, then what should we do?

At such occasion, this verse was revealed that men and women are equal in trying to do good works. Men and women have been mentioned separately in it and it was described: Whosoever will choose good habits, whether that is a man or a woman, their reward will be equal.

After describing ten virtues, it has been explained that the men and women who will do following good works, their reward will be equal without any distinction. No good manner or work has been remained out of these virtues:

1.  To get ready to abide by the Commandment - Islam.

2.  To correct the religious trends - Belief.

3.  To begin to follow the Commandments - Worship.

4.  To speak the truth – honesty, purity and sincerity.

5.  To endure difficulties in doing good works - Patience.

6.  To request before Allaah Almighty humbly and considering not oneself superior to other people – Humiliation.

7.  To fulfill requirements of the necessitous from own wealth – Alms, Charity.
