Quran Chapter 33: 6 (Pt-21, Stg-5) (L-2575) درس قرآن

Relatives are more entitled to inheritance

Chapter ’Al-‘Ahzaab” - (The Clans) - 33

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

6.  The Prophet is closer to the Believers than their selves, and his wives are (as) their mothers. And the owners of kinship are closer one of another in the ordinance of Allah than (other) Believers and the Fugitives (who fled from Makkah), except that ye should do kindness to your friends. This is written in the Book (of nature).
6.  ‘An-Nabiyyu  ‘awlaa  bil-  Mu’-miniina  min  ‘anfusihim  wa  ‘azwaajuhuuu  ‘ummahaa-tuhum.  Wa  ‘ulul-‘arhaami  ba’-zuhum  ‘awlaa  bi-ba’-zin  fii  KitaaBillaahi  minal-  Mu’-miniina  wal-  Muhaajiriina  ‘illaaa  ‘an  taf-‘aluuu  ‘ilaaa  ‘awliyaaa-‘ikum-  ma’-ruufaa.  Kaana  zaalika  fil-Kitaabi  mastuuraa.

Commentary

It is commanded: You cannot judge your mutual relationships with one another yourselves. Your knowledge is limited. Moreover, your selfishness prevents you from understanding the matter correctly. Behold! We describe you about your relationships on account of Our knowledge and wisdom. Your closest relationship is with the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). He is nearer to you than even your personal life. You cannot be well-wisher of yourselves and cannot look after yourselves as much as the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). On account of respect, reverence and some particular religious Commandments, his (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) wives (May Allaah be pleased with them) are mothers of the Believers.

Which temporary relationship was established among the Believers and the Emigrants in the beginning, that has been cancelled due to arrival of their relatives. Now the right of the relatives is at first priority. However, there is no harm in it if you desire to favor your friends and companions. These Commandments have been recorded in the Scripture of Allaah Almighty (Holy Qur’an). You should not interfere in the affairs. You are not aware of policies so much as Allaah Almighty and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) have knowledge.

It is obvious that if the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is nearer to the Believers than even their personal life, then any Believer does not have so much authority on his life and wealth as much the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) has. A man cannot slaughter his personal life, but it will become incumbent to sacrifice his life if the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) orders. Like this, if he is bidden to spend his wealth, then too he cannot set this order aside, but he would have to obey.
