Commentary

It is commanded: Cause of sending all such instructions is that no complaint should be born to your wives. They should be content without having any grief and that they all should be satisfied with what you have given them, because there would have been wrangling, day and night, due to deferring someone of wives, receiving someone unto you according to your will and visiting the house of someone else other than her turn. But now when all of them have known that Allaah Almighty has given you authority that you can behave with your wives in accordance with your desire; then they have no chance of complaint, because whatsoever will you do that will be according to the Will of Allaah Almighty. Therefore, it will be an active source of keeping them pleased without being grieved and being content on that what is provided to them. Other people should never think that why these privileges have not been given to them, because they do not have to accomplish so much religious responsibilities as much you must have to perform. Allaah Almighty is Aware of the secrets hidden in your hearts. He is the Knower of all things and Ever-Forgiving. You should never be suspicious concerning Him.
